Abstract

Abstract

Efficacy of Insecticide (chlorpyrifos 540 g/l and sipermetrin 60 g/l) Against Population Development and Percentage of Damage of Leaf Roller Insect, Lamprosema indicata Fabricius (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) on Soybean Plant The research was conducted in order to know the population growth and percentage of damage of soybean leaf roller Lamprosema indicata Fabricius (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) treated with an insecticide with chlorpyrifos 540 g/l + sipermethrin 60 g/l active ingredient. The research was done in Temesi Village, Gianyar District, Gianyar Regency starting from December 2016 until February 2017. This research used a Randomized Block Design with five (5) levels treatments and five (5) replications. The sampling technique was performed with diagonal pattern and each treatment was taken ten (10) sample of plants. The results showed that population development and percentage of damage of L. indicata influenced by insecticide with active ingredient chlorpyrifos 540 g/l + sipermetrin 60 g/l. The higher dosage was treated will be decreasing the population development and percentage of damage of L. indicata. The higher population and percentage of damage of L. indicata will be decreasing the production of soybean plant.

Abstract

Thrips parvispinus is a pest of large chili plants Capsicum Annuum. This study aimed to determine the effect of spacing on the population and the percentage of T. parvispinus attacks on large chili C. annuum in Kintamani, Bangli Regency, Bali. This research has been conducting on farmer's land in Sekaan Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency, Bali from March to May 2021. This study used a randomized block design (RAK) method, with three treatment levels and five replications. The number of plants observed in each plot was ten plant clumps using a systematic sampling method (diagonal system). The results showed differences in the number of T. parvispinus pests on large chili plants in each treatment, there was an apparent difference between the spacing treatment one (1) and the spacing treatment two (2), but the spacing treatment two (2) was not significantly different from treatment three (3). The results showed that the percentage of T. parvispinus attack on spacing treatment one (1) was higher than treatment spacing two (2) and three (3) from observation one to observation six. The relationship between harvest yields and the percentage of T. parvispinus pest attacks showed differences in harvest weight. The spacing treatment one (1) has a smaller harvest weight than the spacing treatment two (2) and three (3). So the proper spacing for large chili C. annuum is the spacing treatment two and three.

Abstract

The main pest of tomato plants is the whitefly Bemisia tabaci (Homoptera: Aleyrodidae). This study aims to determine the symptoms of attack, population size and percentage of attack by B. tabaci on tomato plants in Kedisan Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency, Bali. The research was conducted from January to March 2023 in Kedisan Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency. This research was carried out using a direct survey method with direct observation in the field. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling using the diagonal sampling method with 10 sample points and 3 plant clusters were taken at each sampling point so that a total of 30 plant families were observed. The variables observed were attack symptoms, population size and percentage of B. tabaci attack on tomato plants. The data obtained were analyzed and presented in the form of tables and graphs. The results showed that B. tabaci was found on tomato plants in the farmers fields in Kedisan village. Symptoms of B. tabaci attack on tomato plants are necrotic spots and chlorosis on leaves, which are caused by damage to leaf cells and tissues due to attack by nymphs and adult insects. Pests began to be found at 14 DAP (Day after Planting) with an average of 0.37 individuals/plant and the highest population was found at 63 DAP with an average of 1.63 individuals/plant on tomato plants. The results of the analysis show that the high percentage of attacks occurred at 63 DAP of 93.33%. In general, the high number of pest populations affects the high pest attacks as evidenced by the high percentage of B. tabaci attacks.
