Abstract

This community service program aimed to implement the smart fish feeder technology based in internet of things (IoT) to increase aquaculture productivity in Dham Pulo Village, Aceh Besar. The community service program consisted of three stages, namely: (1) Dissemination and training, (2) Practice and installation of smartphone/ Internet of Things-based automatic feeder to fishpond plots and (3) Evaluation in the form of focus group discussion (FGD). Implementation of this program managed to enhance the aquaculture productivity of fish farmer in Dham Pulo Village, Ingin Jaya Regency, Aceh Besar. This technology was successfully transferred to the farmers and supported less contact economy and database-based technology.

Abstract

Tingginya nilai ekonomi pada kegiatan penangkapan ikan menjadikan usaha penangkapan ikan sebagai usaha yang menjanjikan. Juragan darat atau pemilik modal akan berupaya meningkatkan produktivitasnya demi mencapai keuntungan yang lebih tinggi. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan modifikasi mesin penggerak pada kapal. Kapal slerek di PPN Pengambengan biasanya menggunakan beberapa jenis mesin yaitu mesin dengan merek Yanmar dan mesin merek Mitsubishi. beberapa alasan penggunaan mesin tersebut terkait dengan biaya pemeliharaan dan operasional yang dapat mempengaruhi pendapatan nelayan. Biaya operasional dalam kegiatan penangkapan terdiri atas pembelian bahan bakar minyak (BBM) setiap trip penangkapan, pemeliharaan jaring, mesin dan kapal, serta pembelian es atau garam.  Berdasarkan hal tersebut, perlu dilakukan pengamatan terkait produktivitas dan feasibility study terkait penggunaan mesin penggerak yang berbeda pada kapal slerek. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa penggunaan mesin Yanmar dan Mistubhisi dalam kegiatan penangkapan kapal slerek menghasilkan nilai produktivitas yang berbeda, terutama pada nilai produktivitas per PK mesin, produktivitas per biaya dan produktivitas per BBM serta produktivitas per ABK. Akan tetapi, secara perhitungan analisa kelayakan usaha keduanya dapat dikatakan sebagai usaha yang layak dijalankan dengan nilai ROI, NPV dan PPC yang tidak jauh berbeda antara kapal I dan kapal II.

Abstract

Cold storage is an important facility in the fishing industry to extend the shelf life of products, especially frozen fish, while maintaining their quality. This research analyzes the performance of the Elitech RC4 HC Data Logger in monitoring temperature and humidity in a 400-ton capacity cold storage at PT Delta Mina Perkasa, Sidoarjo, East Java. Research methods include surveys, direct observation, interviews, and internships, with descriptive and quantitative data analysis approaches. Data loggers were placed at three points: near the door, the middle section with load, and the back section without load, to record temperature and humidity conditions for 78 days. The results showed that the best temperature and humidity stability was recorded in the center of the cold storage, while the largest temperature fluctuations occurred near the door, caused by door opening and closing activities. In June, the cold storage conditions were considered good, but the quality of frozen fish decreased during July to September due to machine repairs. Overall, the Elitech RC4 HC Data Logger proved effective in monitoring real-time temperature and humidity conditions. However, to maintain the quality of frozen fish consistently, it is recommended that the company adds specialized humidity monitors, improves cold storage management, and conducts regular monitoring.

Abstract

Mini purse seine boats in Rembang are divided into two sizes. The first one, namely mini purse seines measuring 10 - 20 Goss Tonnage (GT) (short trips) with a fishing operation duration of 3 - 7 days. The second one is mini purse seines measuring 21 - 30 GT (long trips) with a fishing operation duration of 7 - 10 days. The dominant catch on this boats is round scad, which used a cooling mechanism with ice blocks and bulking systems. This research evaluates the quality of round scad caught by mini purse seine boats (based on Indonesian National Standard/SNI 2729: 2013) and the quality of ice used in handling the fish (based on SNI 4872: 2015). The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Fish samples were carried out in the first and last hold on the short trips and long trips boats, where each handle of the fish was sampled in the upper, middle, and lower layers. Data analysis for sensory evaluation were analyzed by Kruskal Wallis statistics, while the TPC value of round scad was tested by ANOVA test. The laboratory test results obtained the sensory assessment of round scad. The value of the TPC round scad and the E. coli ice blocks are still within the limits of the Indonesian national standards, but the TPC scale of the ice block exceeds the standard limit of SNI. The Kruskal Wallis statistics results showed tha the difference in fish hold, the difference in the trip, and differences in fish hold layers had a significant effect on the sensory of scad. ANOVA test showed that differences in the fish hold and trip differences had a significant impact on the TPC of scad. In contrast, the difference in fish hold layers gave a non-significant effect on the TPC of round scad.Keywords:Quality organolepticTPcRound scadMini purse seineRembang

Abstract

Pertumbuhan kelompok pembudiaya ikan (Pokdakan) di Kota Padang sangat berkembang. Hal ini seiring dengan program Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan di sektor budidaya melalui Dinas Kabupaten kota agar dapat meningkatakan kegiataan budidaya perikanan dan berdampak ekonomi bagi kehidupan pembudidaya ikan. Perkembangan pokdakan ini seharusnya selaras dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi kususnya dibidang budidaya perikanan. Hadirnya aplikasi eFisheryKu bisa membantu pembudidaya ikan dalam melakukan kegiatan budidaya perikanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat penerimaan penggunaan aplikasi e-Fisheriku di Kota Padang dengan menggunakan model Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). TAM digunakan untuk mengukur pengaruh Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) dan Perceived Usefulness (PU) terhadap Attitude Toward Using (ATU), serta pengaruh ATU terhadap Behavioral Intention (BI). Penelitian ini melibatkan 100 responden dengan metode survei kuantitatif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa PEOU dan PU berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap ATU, sedangkan ATU tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap BI. Secara deskriptif, rata-rata skor setiap konstruk berada pada kategori baik (3,7–3,9), menunjukkan penerimaan awal yang cukup positif terhadap aplikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PEOU, PU, ATU, dan BI memiliki rata-rata skor antara 3,7–3,9 (kategori baik). Nilai Cronbach’s Alpha masih rendah (sekitar -0,26 s.d. 0,04) karena data simulatif, namun stabil dengan jumlah responden 100. Uji regresi berganda menghasilkan: Model 1 (PEOU dan PU → ATU) R²=0.016; Model 2 (ATU → BI) R²=0.001. Artinya, pengaruh antar variabel positif namun tidak signifikan.
