Abstract

Kebutuhan akan listrik untuk kalangan industri, perkantoran, perumahan, termasuk untuk kapal-kapal perikanan meningkat dengan pesat. Peningkatan kebutuhan listrik ini tidak diiringi dengan penambahan pasokan listrik. Energi surya dapat dijadikan alternatif penghasil  energi listrik. Sel surya dapat mengkonversi langsung radiasi sinar matahari menjadi energi listrik (proses photovoltaic). Energi listrik yang dihasilkan dari sel surya dapat dimanfaatkan pada malam hari, dengan cara menyimpan energi listriknya ke baterai yang dikontrol oleh regulator pada siang hari. Pemanfaatan energi listrik dalam di atas kapal dilakukan dengan menghubungkan inverter dari arus DC ke AC pada keluaran regulator. Hasil pengujian modul surya (photovoltaic) diperoleh daya terbesar yang dihasilkan dari jam 08:00-16:00 adalah pada jam 12:00 dengan daya yang dihasilkan sampai 45,76 watt. Pengukuran tegangan dan arus setiap jam dari rentang jam 08:00 – 16:00, diperoleh daya rata-ratanya sebesar 32,389 Watt. Keluaran daya rata-rata selama 5 hari mencapai 32,386 Watt.

Abstract

Pelumas merupakan salah satu bahan yang penting dalam pengoperasian mesin kapal agar bekerja secara optimal, dan memberikan pelumas yang salah dapat mengakibatkan mesin mengalami kerusakan. Sedangkan Viskositas (Viscosity), adalah suatu angka yang menyatakan besarnya perlawanan/hambatan dari suatu bahan cair untuk mengalir atau ukuran besarnya tahanan geser dari bahan cair. Tujuan dari analisis sampel pelumas (Shell Rimula R4X 15W 40) di laboratorium ini adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi pelumas dan penyebab viskositas pelumas turun dari dua sampel pelumas (oli baru dan oli setelah tergunakan dengan jam kerja pelumas 312 jam).Hasil dari analisa sampel pelumas di laboratorium ini menunjukan bahwa kondisi dari dua sampel pelumas tidak normal. Dilihat dari uji fisik viskositas uji nilai di oli baru 11.33 seharusnya pada oli normal uji fisik Viskositas 100ºC uji nilai 14.7. Uji nilai TBN 17.1. Uji nilai Oksidasi 0.56 apabila oli baru seharusnya nilai Oksidasi 0 karena belum mengalami proses operasi mesin, indikasi oli baru itu adalah oli bekas, atau indikasi oli palsu. Dilihat dari uji fisik Viskositas uji nilai di oli setelah tergunakan 11.00, terindikasi mesin yang Overheat, karena tercampurnya bahan bakar, dilihat bahan bakar dengan Destilasi uji nilai 0.5 adanya kebocoran bahan bakar. Uji nilai TBN 15.03, normal karena TBN menetralisir asam sulfur di bahan bakar. Jadi hasil pengujian sampel pelumas merk Shell Rimula R4X 15W 40 olibaru dan oli setelah digunakan mengalami penurunan nilai viskositas.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPemerintah menerapkan kebijakan penggunaan biosolar B20 berdasarkan Permen ESDM No. 41 Tahun 2018 tentang Penyediaan dan Pemanfaatan Bahan Bakar Nabati (BBN) Jenis Biosolar dalam Kerangka Pembiayaan oleh Badan Pengelola Dana Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit (BPDPKS). Efek penggunan B20 pada KP. Orca 02 berpengaruh terutama pada filter catridge dan fuel filter mengalami penurunan kemampuan mengumpulkan kontaminan. Sehingga dilakukan penanganan khusus berupa cleaning dan dipasangkan mesin purifier untuk membersihkan kotoran pada tangki agar kualitas bahan bakar optimal. Cleaning dilakukan pada tangki induk dan tangki harian. Pemasangan mesin purifier dengan merek GEA model OSE 5-91-037/5. Berdasarkan pengujian lab kandungan B20 sebelum masuk purifier dan hasil keluaran purifier, perbedaan parameter sendimen dari 0,006%wt ke 0,005%wt, dan kadar condradson carbon residu on  10% distilate residu 0,21%wt melebihi dari ketentuan. 0,1%wt. Penanganan khusus berpengaruh terhadap penggantian filter catridge,Kata Kunci : Biosolar (B20), penanganan khusus biosolar (B20),  purifier , filter catridge dan fuel filter

Abstract

The development of a web-based cold storage temperature and humidity monitoring device using Arduino Uno aims to monitor room conditions, particularly in cold storage spaces, through a website. This device utilizes DHT11 and DS18B20 sensors, along with the Wemos D1 Mini module, integrated with the Arduino Uno microcontroller. Arduino configuration is performed through an application to send commands to other components. The research was conducted at PT. Indu Manis Gresik, East Java. Data collection and testing were carried out at the specified location. The test results demonstrate the device's efficient operation, transmitting testing data to the associated website. The accuracy of the DS18B20 temperature sensor testing reached 98.8%, while the DS18B20 humidity sensor achieved 99.35%.

Abstract

Lubricating oil is a critical component in the operation of diesel engines, functioning to reduce wear and dissipate heat generated by friction in moving engine components. Compared to gasoline engines, diesel engines produce higher levels of carbon during combustion, necessitating the use of lubricating oil filters to remove combustion residues. Additionally, fine filters are employed to minimize contaminants present in the lubricating oil. This study aims to analyze the contaminant levels in different states of lubricating oil: new, unused oil; oil used for 500 hours without a fine filter; oil used for 500 hours with a CJC fine filter; and oil used for 1,336.5 hours with a CJC fine filter. The testing methods employed were ASTM D5185-18 and ASTM E2412-10, with all analyses conducted at the PT Petrolab Services Laboratory. The results demonstrate that the use of a CJC fine filter significantly reduces contaminants, with sodium levels at 1 ppm, silicon levels at 7 ppm, and Fuel Dilution, Water Content, and Glycol levels consistently at 0%.

Abstract

Cold storage is an important facility in the fishing industry to extend the shelf life of products, especially frozen fish, while maintaining their quality. This research analyzes the performance of the Elitech RC4 HC Data Logger in monitoring temperature and humidity in a 400-ton capacity cold storage at PT Delta Mina Perkasa, Sidoarjo, East Java. Research methods include surveys, direct observation, interviews, and internships, with descriptive and quantitative data analysis approaches. Data loggers were placed at three points: near the door, the middle section with load, and the back section without load, to record temperature and humidity conditions for 78 days. The results showed that the best temperature and humidity stability was recorded in the center of the cold storage, while the largest temperature fluctuations occurred near the door, caused by door opening and closing activities. In June, the cold storage conditions were considered good, but the quality of frozen fish decreased during July to September due to machine repairs. Overall, the Elitech RC4 HC Data Logger proved effective in monitoring real-time temperature and humidity conditions. However, to maintain the quality of frozen fish consistently, it is recommended that the company adds specialized humidity monitors, improves cold storage management, and conducts regular monitoring.

Abstract

This research focuses on the viscosity and Total Base Number (TBN) of lubricating oil in diesel engines. The study tests the characteristics of new lubricating oil, oil used for 500 hours without and with CJC type fine filters, and oil used for 1336.5 hours with CJC fine filters. The testing follows the ASTM D445-21e2 and ASTM D2896-21 methods at the PT PETROLAB SERVICES Laboratory. The results reveal that using CJC fine filters can prolong the life of lubricating oil, as it preserves the quality, particularly within the first 500 working hours. However, beyond 1336.5 hours, some test results become unreasonable, indicating that the oil is no longer suitable for use. To gain a comprehensive understanding of the changes in lubricating oil quality, further testing at 750 and 1000 hours is suggested. Overall, this research highlights the importance of maintaining lubricating oil quality in diesel engines and the potential benefits of using CJC fine filters.
