Abstract

Fine motor skills in children with moderate mental retardation have an important role and influence in completing daily tasks and the level of independence of children with moderate mental retardation. This happens because children's daily activities involve coordination skills between the eyes and hands and the strength of small muscles. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of cutting techniques in improving fine motor skills in children with moderate intellectual disabilities. The research method used by researchers is a literature review, which is carried out by analyzing data from various previous research studies and trusted sources. The results of the research show that the cutting technique is an effective way to improve fine motor skills in children with moderate mental retardation. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the application of cutting techniques at SLB C Muzdalifah for children with moderate intellectual disabilities in order to provide intervention to children and facilitate the development of fine motor skills in children with moderate intellectual disabilities. By providing appropriate intervention, teachers can use this technique as a tool that can help mentally retarded children who are facing difficulties developing fine motor skills.

Abstract

Deaf children are children whose sense of hearing is damaged so they cannot perceive and receive sound stimuli through their hearing. Dysfunction of the sense of hearing in deaf children causes difficulty in acquiring language through hearing, thereby hampering the process of language development. This research discusses the benefits of using the Reflective Material Method (MMR) in deaf children. The aim of this research is to determine the language abilities of deaf children using the Reflective Material Method (MMR) at SLBC Muzdhalifah for class III children. This research uses a qualitative approach and the type of research used is descriptive research. The data collection methods used in this research are interview, observation and documentation methods. Based on the results of research conducted by researchers regarding the use of the Maternal Reflective Method (MMR) with deaf children in elementary class III at SLBC Muzdalifah, it has had many positive impacts, seen from the language and communication skills of SLBC Muzdalifah students.

Abstract

Children with intellectual disabilities are one of groups of children with mental disorders who have below average intellectual abilities and have limitations in thinking, low thinking skills, weak attention and memory In the process of learning the hijaiyah letters, children with intellectual disabilities find it difficult to recognize the hijaiyah letters, find it difficult to write the hijaiyah letters, are busy with their respective activities such as dancing, playing with their friends, some tend to be quiet because they lack enthusiasm in learning Therefore, interesting and interctive hijaiyah letter learning media are needed The use of learning media to teach the hijaiyah letters to mentally retarded students is very necessary However, the findings obtained in mentally retarded students who still cannot read the hijaiyah letters. This study aims to determine the role of learning media in learning the hijaiyah letters for mentally retarded students This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques used are interviews and observations The results of the study show that learning media can stimulate students interest in learning and encourage them to be able to focus on the material The obstacles faced are the lack of concentration this is easily lost, high emotionality, and classes that are not yet adequate. The solution obtained is a firm attitude that teachers need to have as educators to provide motivation to students, and be patient in educating. With the existence of learning media, it can be one of the solutions in improving learning the hijaiyah letters in mentally retarded chidren.
