Abstract

This Classroom Action Research aimed to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes on the topic of sorting and comparing data through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model for third-grade students at UPT SDN Sendangharjo IV. The study employed the Kemmis and McTaggart Classroom Action Research model, which consists of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection, conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were 21 third-grade students. Data were collected through observation, achievement tests, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The findings revealed that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model significantly improved students' mathematics learning outcomes. The average score increased from 50.0 in the pre-cycle to 71.9 in Cycle I and 88.8 in Cycle II. The percentage of students achieving mastery learning also improved from 23.8% in the pre-cycle to 61.9% in Cycle I and finally reached 90.4% in Cycle II. In addition, students' learning activities increased through group discussions, problem-solving activities, and group presentations. Therefore, the Problem Based Learning model is effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes on the topic of sorting and comparing data for elementary school students.

This research uses the classroom action research (CAR) type. Twenty-eight first-grade students at the Sendangharjo IV Elementary School (UPT SD Negeri Sendangharjo IV Tuban) participated in the study. The research process involved planning, implementation, observation, and analysis, which were conducted in two phases. Observation sheets and tests were among the tools used. Data were analyzed using percentages. The results of this study indicate that first-grade students' Pancasila Education scores on the school environment at the Sendangharjo IV Elementary School (UPT SDN Sendangharjo IV Tuban) can be improved by utilizing the Rule Cards. The class completion rate increased from 50% in the first cycle to 85.71% in the second cycle. Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at UPT SDN Sendangharjo IV in the Indonesian language topic of conjunctions through the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model. The study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students, where only 6 of 28 students reached the Learning Achievement Criteria (KKTP) at the initial observation. This research followed the Kemmis and McTaggart model, comprising planning, acting, observing, and reflecting, and was carried out in two cycles. The subjects were 28 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through learning outcome tests and observation sheets, then analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The results showed that the average score and classical mastery increased in every cycle, from 66.14 (21.43%) in the pre-cycle to 72.39 (35.71%) in Cycle I using Discovery Learning, and to 84.39 (89.29%) in Cycle II using TGT. Teacher and student activity also improved, reaching 96% and 92% respectively in the very good category in Cycle II. These findings indicate that the TGT model effectively improves student learning outcomes and engagement in learning conjunctions.
