Abstract

Latar belakang: Teknisi gigi tidak dapat terhindar dari paparan berbagai agen fisik, kimia, dan biologis yang berasal dari lingkungan kerja. Paparan pada teknisi gigi dapat berupa debu atau asap yang berasal dari grinding saat pengolahan bahan restorasi gigi. Pada penelitian Haryani dkk, 2014 dilaporkan terdapat konsentrasi logam kobalt, nikel, kromium yang tinggi pada darah  teknisi gigi di Surabaya yaitu kadar kobalt  27 µg/L, nikel 37 µg/L, dan kromium 117 µg/L. Paparan logam dapat menyebabkan terbentuknya Reaktive Oxygen Species (ROS) dan menyebabkan terjadinya kerusakan DNA. Kerusakan khas yang terjadi pada P53 terjadi mutasi Guanine. Salah satu peran P53 yaitu  untuk proses perbaikan DNA. Tujuan:  Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara akumulasi logam dengan kadar P53 pada teknisi gigi. Metode:  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 40 yang diambil secara acak. Data diambil melalui wawancara dan observasi. P53 diperiksa dari saliva dengan metodeindirect ELISA.  Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson. Nilai kemaknaan yaitu nilai p<0,05 (tingkat kepercayaan 95%).  Hasil:Tidak ada hubungan signifikan antara akumulasi logam dan P53 pada teknisi gigi. Simpulan dan saran: terdapat korelasi positif namun hubungan tersebut tidak signifikan antara lama bekerja dengan kadar P53 pada teknisi gigi.

Abstract

Most complaints in dentistry today are about swelling and mobility of the tooth, and the diagnosis of an inflammatory lesion is generally made in both complaints. Burkitt's lymphoma (BL) is a type of malignant tumor classified as Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL) with clinical symptoms of swelling dan tooth mobility similar to the inflammatory lesions. This paper aims to describe the similarities between inflammatory lesions and Burkitt's lymphoma. Burkitt's lymphoma can be classified into endemic, sporadic, and human immunodeficiency-related. Sporadic BL (sBL) occurs in approximately 12 to 30% of maxillofacial patients and commonly affects children. Several case studies reported that the clinical symptom of sBL is swelling. It has been reported in Europe and Asia that sBL in children shows swelling and tooth mobility in the maxillary and mandibular regions. Enlargement and redness of gingival tissue, hypermobility of the tooth, and swelling of the gingival around the painful tooth were reported as sBL cases after some examination. Inflammatory lesions such as BL-like have similar clinical symptoms, so the dentist must be careful in diagnosing cases of swelling and tooth mobility. DOI : 10.54052/jhds.v3n1.p69-78

Abstract

The main problem of oral health in childhood is caries. Dental caries is caused by multifactorial factors including the host (tooth), substrate (food), microorganisms (bacteria) and time. Milk is a source of animal nutrition that is rich in calcium. Calcium plays an important role in the formation of dental hard tissue, making it more resistant to erosion and dental caries. By educating children at elementary school age to 'geminsu' love to drink milk can help children improve their ability to maintain oral health. This community service activity was carried out on students in grades 1-6 at SDN Lirboyo 1 Kediri City through several stages, namely pretest questionnaires, 'geminsu' education for oral health in infancy, posttest, door prize distribution, milk distribution, drinking milk together and group photos. The results of this community service showed that the percentage of knowledge about fond of drinking milk is important for oral health in infancy before education increased from 54% to 80%. The results of this service can be concluded that education on drinking milk can increase students' knowledge and awareness of the importance of milk for oral health during growth.
