Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to explore and understand the self-resilience of converts and the factors that influence it in Olora Village, North Gunungsitoli District. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method. This method is used to understand the experiences and strategies used by converts to face challenges and pressure in living their new belief, namely Islam. This research involved the active participation of several converts to Islam as research subjects. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and participant observation. Data analysis is carried out through reduction, display and verification processes. This research shows that converts have self-resilience in carrying out Islamic teachings in terms of their deeds of worship as evidenced by the ability of converts to persist in the most difficult situations when doing deeds of worship, converts remain optimistic with serious effort in the most difficult conditions when doing deeds of worship, converts have a goal in carrying out deeds of worship. Driven by several factors including self-confidence and belief in the Islamic religion, KUA guidance, and guidance and support from those closest to him.Keywords: Self-Resilience, Converts, Social, Charity.Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan memahami resiliensi diri mualaf dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya di Desa Olora, Kecamatan Gunungsitoli Utara. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Metode ini digunakan untuk memahami pengalaman dan strategi yang digunakan mualaf dalam menghadapi tantangan dan tekanan dalam menjalani keyakinan barunya, yaitu Islam. Penelitian ini melibatkan partisipasi aktif dari beberapa mualaf sebagai subjek penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi partisipan. Analisis data dilakukan melalui proses reduksi, display, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mualaf memiliki ketahanan diri dalam menjalankan ajaran Islam dalam hal amal ibadahnya yang dibuktikan dengan kemampuan mualaf untuk bertahan dalam situasi tersulit saat menjalankan amal ibadah, mualaf tetap optimis dengan usaha yang sungguh-sungguh dalam kondisi tersulit saat menjalankan amal ibadah, mualaf memiliki tujuan dalam menjalankan amal ibadah. Didorong oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya adalah keyakinan dan kepercayaan diri terhadap agama Islam, bimbingan KUA, serta bimbingan dan dukungan dari orang-orang terdekatnya.Kata Kunci: Ketahanan Diri, Mualaf, Sosial, Amal.

Abstract

The family is the first and main place of learning for children. However, not all families can be a comfortable learning place forchildren, especially broken home families. Broken home students are vulnerable to mental health problems and need to get the rightsupport. This research aims to determine the mental health condition of students who experience broken homes due to their parents' divorce. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collectiontechniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The research results showed that five MAN 2 Model Medanstudents accepted their parents' divorce, but it had an impact on the students' mental health conditions. This is indicated by changes in students' emotional, social and behavioral changes. Apart from that, there are also developments experienced bystudents which are supported by several external and internal factors.
