Abstract

The large number of public demands for nursing services and the emergence of competition in many health service facilities urge hospital management to always improve nursing services by increasing nurse performance. This is because nurses are the health workers with the largest number and are on duty 24 hours a day to serve patients, especially nurses who are tasked with providing nursing services in inpatient installations. There are many previous studies that examine factors that influence nurses' performance in nursing services. In this research, we want to know the influence of supervision, workload and work stress on the performance of inpatient installation nurses at Murni Teguh Memorial Hospital Medan. This research is a quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The population is all 224 health workers (nurses) who work in inpatient installations and all of them were used as samples. Data collection techniques include distributing questionnaires, documentation and literature study. The analysis method uses univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis using multiple linear regression equations. The results of the research show that supervision, workload and work stress influence nurse performance and the supervision variable is the dominant influence. The research conclusion is that supervision, workload and work stress influence the performance of inpatient installation nurses at Murni Teguh Memorial Hospital Medan. It is recommended that the head of the room should provide routine supervision in an effort to guide and direct nurses so that they have good competence in carrying out nursing service tasks more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a tropical climate, with one of the problems being the prevalence of scabies. Scabies transmission occurs through direct contact with sufferers or contaminated objects such as clothing. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of the GEMAS Pocket Book to improve public knowledge about scabies. This study was an experimental study with a pre-test and post-test design without a control group. This study involved 54 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data on the level of knowledge were collected by filling out questionnaires in the phases before and after education using the GEMAS Pocket Book. Furthermore, a comparative test of knowledge between the two phases was carried out using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the analysis showed that in the pre-test phase, the level of knowledge in the good category was zero; while in the post-test phase, the level of knowledge in the good category was the majority (74.1%). The p-value from the Wilcoxon test results was <0.001, so it was interpreted that there was a significant difference in the level of knowledge between before and after education using the GEMAS Pocket Book. Thus, based on the research results, it can be concluded that public knowledge about scabies can be significantly increased through education using the GEMAS Pocket Book. Keywords: scabies; health education; knowledge; pocket book; scabies eradication movement ABSTRAK Indonesia merupakan negara dengan iklim tropis, dengan salah satu masalah yakni prevalensi skabies. Abstract

Nutritional problems among toddlers, particularly malnutrition, remain a significant public health concern in Indonesia. The Supplementary Feeding Program (PMT) is a key government initiative that utilizes local food resources to improve the nutritional status of children under five. However, the program continues to face several implementation challenges that must be addressed to ensure its effectiveness. This study aimed to identify the challenges and solutions associated with the implementation of the PMT in the Sei Mencirim Health Center area, Deli Serdang Regency. A qualitative case study design was employed, involving eight key informants comprising health workers, posyandu cadres, and parents of PMT recipients. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed thematically using the Miles and Huberman framework, which includes data reduction, data display, and verification. The findings revealed several key challenges: untimely distribution of PMT, declining food quality, budget constraints, low parental education levels, and limited parental involvement in program monitoring. To address these issues, a range of targeted solutions was implemented, including the formation of dedicated distribution teams, menu standardization, establishment of centralized food processing sites, improved data accuracy, continuous staff training, enhanced cross-sector coordination, and routine monitoring and evaluation. These interventions led to a 35% improvement in the timeliness of PMT distribution and a 50% increase in family participation, contributing positively to the nutritional outcomes of toddlers. In conclusion, targeted interventions and multisectoral collaboration significantly enhanced the effectiveness of PMT implementation in the study area. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the determinants that affect the satisfaction of BPJS participants with outpatient installation services at Royal Prima Marelan Hospital. Patient satisfaction is an important indicator in assessing the quality of health services, especially in the National Health Insurance (JKN) program organized by BPJS. The research method used is observational analysis with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample consisted of 232 respondents selected through the purposive sampling method, namely BPJS participant patients who visited the outpatient installation of the Royal Prima Marelan Hospital. The variables analyzed included membership status, perception of service procedures (registration), perception of human resource services (health workers), perception of drug services (pharmacy), and perception of facilities. Data collection was carried out using a structured questionnaire that included the dimensions of these services. Data analysis involves univariate tests, bivariates with chi-square tests, and multivariates to determine dominant factors. The results showed that 83.3% of respondents were satisfied with the service, while the rest felt less satisfied. The factors that had a significant relationship with patient satisfaction were perception of service procedures (p=0.004), perception of human resource services (p=0.039), perception of drug services (p=0.000), and perception of facilities (p=0.011). The perception of drug services has the greatest influence on the satisfaction of BPJS participants. These results suggest that the accuracy, availability, and ease of access of medications greatly contribute to satisfaction rates. The conclusion of this study is that improving the quality of significant service factors, especially related to drug services and facilities, needs to be a priority for hospitals to increase the satisfaction of BPJS participants. This research is expected to be a reference for policymakers in designing strategies to improve health services, especially at the Royal Prima Marelan Hospital. Keywords: Hospital, Installation Services, Outpatient, Social Health Insurance Administration
