Abstract

This community engagement program aimed to improve family economic empowerment through tomato product diversification, financial literacy, and digital marketing in Salimpek Village, Solok Regency. The program was implemented through training and hands-on practice in processing tomatoes into tomato jam and tomato dodol, family and business financial recordkeeping, and the use of digital technology for product marketing. The participants consisted of 20 people, including homemakers, PKK members, Bunda Kanduang, and MSME actors. Evaluation was conducted by measuring participants’ knowledge, skills, motivation, and readiness to apply the training outcomes before and after the program. The results showed an increase in the average empowerment level from 35.0% to 89.5%, representing an improvement of 54.5 percentage points. The program demonstrates that integrating local product processing, financial literacy, and digital marketing can strengthen the economic capacity of families and MSMEs. Further mentoring is needed to ensure the sustainability of the training outcomes.
