Abstract

Education is a such a priority and its necessary for student to improve their skill to be able to employe themself for a job rivals. Because in this growing era demands more competent students are needed to be considered in the world of work, especially in a fine arts school. This study aims to know how the psychology of architecture applied in the vocational school of fine art. Psychological architecture is a field of study that studies the relationship between built environment and human behavior, which mutually affect one another. The built environment and human behaviour able to develop their own potential, so that the environment will greatly affect the development of student’s potential. This design strategy is located in Klaten. The research method used is applied research, through the data collection which then concluded and become the guidance in the design analysis.  The application of psychological architecture in this building is done through the design in accordance with the user’s characteristics, by connecting the characteristics and theories of psychological architecture. The result of application can be seen in users, activities, site, space, lay out arrangement and also the appearance of interior and exterior. The analysis process that apply psychology of architecture study can give a result of school design which give comfort when the user doing the activity.

Abstract

Ornaments or generally referred to as decorative designs are art that is used with the aim of beautifying. The application of ornaments in the field of architecture, especially interiors,is widely applied to floors, ceilings, walls, openings and other interior elements. Suminagashi is a technique for making unique and beautiful ornaments where thin ink is applied to the surface of water and then transferred to cloth or paper. This technique became a very famous art from Japan because it combines unique and impressive colours. This Community Service aims to provide input and feedback on matters relating to architectural aesthetic shapes and colours using the suminagashi method on cloth media. So that this service activity provides benefits, that the community can learn design approach techniques by preserving suminagashi crafts using patterns, colours and materials by utilizing items available in the surrounding environment so that in the future it becomes a forum for creative collaboration for the community to increase productivity, develop interests and talents and the economy of the residents by bringing in other creative themes.

Abstract

Perencanaan bangunan diperlukan agar dapat memberikan luaran desain yang baik untuk menunjang kebutuhan dan kenyamanan penghuninya. Indonesia dengan iklim khas tropis memberikan pengaruh pada produk arsitektur yang harus menyesuaikan dengan kondisi iklim Indonesia. Salah satu faktor penting dalam perencanaan bangunan adalah pencahayaan. Terdapat tiga kriteria utama untuk memenuhi sistem pencahayaan yang baik, yaitu kualitas, kuantitas, dan aturan pencahayaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas aplikasi konsep arsitektur yang menyesuaikan dengan konteks bangunan di iklim tropis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian secara kuantitatif melalui pengolahan data numerik besaran cahaya menggunakan software berbasis online yang diprogram oleh Dr. Andrew Marsh. Metode penelitian melibatkan langkah observasi orientasi bangunan dan arah edar matahari. Objek yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah bangunan indekos dengan software simulasi building performance analysis. Software ini bekerja dengan pemrograman cahaya dan menghasilkan analisis arah cahaya matahari, skema pembayangan eksterior dan interior bangunan, serta besaran intensitas cahaya yang diterima oleh suatu ruang.
