Abstract

Human Resource Development is a series of processes and activities designed to enhance employees’ knowledge, skills, and competences to optimize their performance and contribute to the overall goals achievement by the organization. Literature review was used as a research method for the paper to conduct the study. As it has been found, the HRS directly affects staffs performance. The areas covered by the study predominantly included relevant training, mentoring programs and opportunities to develop professionally provided to the employees. Based on the study’s outcomes, employees that are exposed to continuous training and development have a higher level of competence, motivation to work, and organizational loyalty. However, the results also state that effective HRS can enhance employees’ adaptability to change in the dynamic working environment and eventually strengthen the organizations’ performance and competitiveness.
