Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu penulis berupaya mengungkapkan pengaplikasian metode talaqqi pada hafalan Al-qur’an di Majelis Ta’lim Ummahat Ar-Royyan Pacitan serta hasil penerapan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian yang dilakukan penulis termasuk dalam kategori field research (studi lapangan). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan secara trianggulasi diantaranya gabungan dari observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Pengambilan data menggunakan pemilihan sampel purposive, yaitu pada ustadz (pengajar) dan tiga ibu-ibu peserta majelis ta’lim. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan secara berkelanjutan mulai mendapatkan data di lapangan dengan pengumpulan data, penyajian data dan interpretasi data. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa penggunaan metode talaqqi pada Tahfidz Al-qur’an di Majelis Ta’lim Ummahat Ar-Royyan Pacitan di nilai berhasil dan efektif dalam memudahkan ibu-ibu menghafalkan Al qur’an baik dari penyampaiannya yang mudah dimengerti, metode yang di gunakan sangat efektif, proses belajar mengajar yang menyenangkan, buku panduan berupa buku pedoman dauroh Al-qur’an yang memudahkan ummahat mempelajari Al-qur’an dan metode talaqqi yang di ajarkan sangat mudah di mengerti serta memudahkan ibu-ibu untuk menghafalkan Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

The local cultural arts reflect the wisdom of a region and should be preserved. The reyog dance is a cultural heritage originating from Ponorogo regency. It holds historical, artistic, and social significance that is crucial to safeguard. This paper aims to describe the preservation of Reyog Ponorogo cultural arts at Muhammadiyah Ponorogo University, outline future preservation challenges, and explore the Islamic value of the art. The research methodology used is qualitative. Data was collected through interviews and supported by literature related to Reyog Ponorogo. The study results demonstrate that the preservation of Reyog Ponorogo's local cultural arts at Muhammadiyah Ponorogo University is facilitated through the Student Activity Unit of Paguyuban Seni Reyog Mahasiswa Simo Budi Utomo and via a literary collection housed in the Reyog Corner at the university library. To preserve the Reyog Ponorogo culture, the Simo Budi Utomo Unit plans to use communication strategies, education, legal protection, community involvement, technological innovation, and explore the meaning of this art form. Reyog Ponorogo dances hold Islamic meaning. Islamic values are ingrained in the preservation of Reyog Ponorogo in Simo Budi Utomo unit, namely love for Allah, the spirit of struggle and hard work, discipline, solidarity, and cohesiveness in teamwork.

Abstract

The development of empathy and social skills in early childhood is an important aspect in forming social-emotional abilities as a foundation for children’s future lives. However, the development of these two aspects faces various challenges, such as reduced social interaction due to gadget use and declining quality of interaction between children and parents. This study aims to analyze the forms of parental involvement and their implications for the development of empathy and social skills in early childhood at KB Kasih Bunda. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects consisted of parents, teachers, and early childhood children selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that parental involvement is manifested through positive communication, emotional attention, assistance in children’s activities, modeling of social behavior, and habituation of prosocial attitudes. This involvement has implications for the development of children’s empathy, as shown through behaviors such as helping friends, showing concern, and comforting friends who are sad. In addition, children’s social skills develop through the ability to cooperate, share, communicate, and resolve simple conflicts. The conclusion of the study affirms that parental involvement plays an important role in supporting the development of empathy and social skills in early childhood. The implications of this study provide theoretical contributions to the development of early childhood education studies, particularly in the social-emotional aspect, as well as practical implications for parents, teachers, and early childhood education institutions in building family-school synergy to create an environment that optimally supports children’s social-emotional development.

Abstract

Although loose parts-based learning has increasingly received attention in early childhood education, studies that specifically examine its implementation in relation to the cognitive development of children within particular early childhood education institutions remain relevant to be developed. This study aims to analyze the implementation of loose parts-based learning on the cognitive development of early childhood children at KB Pelangi Harapan. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques consisting of observation, interviews, and documentation, with the research subjects including teachers and students at KB Pelangi Harapan. The findings showed that loose parts-based learning was able to stimulate children’s cognitive development, particularly in recognizing the shapes and sizes of objects, grouping objects, counting simple quantities of objects, and arranging various objects into certain forms according to the children’s imagination. In addition, play activities using loose parts also increased children’s activeness, creativity, and ability to solve simple problems. The teacher’s role as a facilitator in providing learning materials and giving guidance during play activities also became an important factor in supporting successful learning. The conclusion of this study confirms that loose parts-based learning is an effective strategy for supporting the cognitive development of early childhood children and strengthening play-based learning practices in early childhood education institutions.

Abstract

Early childhood education requires learning strategies that are appropriate to children’s developmental characteristics, but learning practices in playgroups are still often limited in the use of varied and engaging media, so the stimulation of children’s cognitive and social development has not been optimal. This study aimed to examine the use of puzzle media as a learning strategy and its implications for the cognitive and social development of early childhood at Arga Mulya Playgroup. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects consisted of 10 children and a classroom teacher selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was tested through source and technique triangulation. The results showed that the use of puzzle media had a positive impact on the learning process and children’s development. Children showed increased learning interest, activeness, and ability to concentrate for longer periods. Children’s cognitive abilities also developed, particularly in recognizing shapes and colors, thinking logically, and solving simple problems. In addition, children showed improvement in social and character aspects, such as carefulness, patience, and perseverance. The conclusion of this study confirms that puzzle media can serve as an effective alternative learning strategy to support the cognitive and social development of early childhood in playgroups.

Abstract

The low speaking skills (maharah al-kalam) of students in Arabic language learning remain a problem influenced by limited vocabulary, low self-confidence, and minimal communication practice in real contexts. This study aimed to describe teachers’ strategies in applying the direct method and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in the development of students’ speaking ability at MTs Darul Hijroh Canden. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while validity was tested through source and technique triangulation. The results showed that the strategy for applying the direct method was carried out through the integration of four main approaches, namely the creation of bi’ah lughawiyah or a language environment, hiwar or dialogue practice, role play, and the habituation of daily communication using Arabic. This strategy was able to improve students’ speaking ability, particularly in terms of fluency, confidence, and accuracy in language use. The main supporting factors included a conducive pesantren environment and students’ motivation, whereas the inhibiting factors included limited vocabulary and low self-confidence. The conclusion of this study confirms that the success of the direct method is largely determined by teachers’ consistency in integrating communicative and contextual learning strategies as well as the support of a sustainable language environment. The implications of this study indicate the importance of developing Arabic language learning based on communication and environment (language immersion) that pays balanced attention to students’ linguistic and psychological aspects.
