Abstract

Academic Information System is a system designed to manage academic data with the application of computer technology both hardware and software so that the entire process of academic activities can be managed into useful information in the management of higher education and decision-making for decision-makers or top management. in a college environment. This system aims to support the implementation of education so that universities can provide better and more effective information services to their communities, both inside and outside the tertiary institutions via the internet. The various needs in the field of education and the regulations that surround it are so high that academic management in an educational institution becomes a very draining job of time, energy, and mind. Therefore, the academic information system was built to directly answer the problems and needs of higher education institutions for academic management quickly and without tiring. The Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) allows cell phones (mobile devices) to be used to access information easily and quickly. Based on this background, the problem taken is how to create an academic information system using the WML programming language, PHP through the MYSQL database system. The aim is to find out how the WAP-based academic information presentation system can be accessed. The research method used is the method of observation, literature, or interviews with existing academic information systems. The result of this research is a WAP-based academic information system application with the collaboration of WML and PHP code scripts that are connected to the MYSQL database.

Abstract

Computer network security has become crucial in managing and protecting sensitive data transmitted through networks. Effective implementation of security measures on every device connected to the network is a critical aspect. This article discusses the use of Standard Access Control List (ACL) as a solution to enhance computer network security, both in Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs). This method serves as an access rights provider in computer networks by denying access from unrecognized devices to prevent security vulnerabilities. The results of simulations indicate that using Standard Access Control List successfully blocks computer lab client access to the server, thereby reducing the potential for cyber attacks and improving computer network security.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan suatu aplikasi monitoring kinerja karyawan laundry berbasis website menggunakan metode Rapid Application Development (RAD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi monitoring kinerja karyawan dapat membantu pemilik laundry dalam mengelola data, menyajikan laporan, dan memotivasi karyawan untuk meningkatkan kinerja. Aplikasi yang dikembangkan memiliki fitur-fitur seperti pengelolaan data karyawan, data setrika, dan laporan kinerja karyawan. Admin dapat mengelola data tersebut, sementara karyawan dapat melaporkan pekerjaan yang telah diselesaikan. Meskipun masih memiliki banyak kekurangan, aplikasi ini dapat terus dikembangkan lebih baik lagi, misalnya dengan menambahkan fitur penerimaan laundry, nota digital, dan fitur untuk member.

Abstract

This study examined the use of decision tree algorithms, specifically C4.5, in classifying the eligibility for social assistance fund distribution in Kelurahan Bangka Belitung Laut, Kecamatan Pontianak Tenggara. Inaccuracies in distribution were caused by recipient selection based on village officials' recommendations, which only considered the type of occupation. To address this issue, this study developed a system based on the C4.5 algorithm to process economic census data. This research used a quantitative method with a descriptive analytical approach, collecting data through literature studies and economic census, and processing data using the Rapid Miner application. The classification model generated was evaluated using 10-fold cross-validation to ensure high accuracy. The results showed that the C4.5 algorithm achieved 100% accuracy, precision, and recall. The decision tree model indicated that the main attributes determining eligibility were occupation and income. Some rules derived from this model, such as those who are unemployed with an income below Rp29,500 being eligible for assistance, provided clear guidelines for policymakers. The implementation of this algorithm is expected to improve fairness and effectiveness in the distribution of social assistance funds in Kelurahan Bangka Belitung Laut, reduce public dissatisfaction, and prevent potential social conflicts. This study recommended adopting the model in other areas with adjustments to local data to enhance broader fairness in aid distribution.

Abstract

Dalam menghadapi masalah sampah yang terus meningkat, termasuk di Indonesia, penumpukan sampah yang semakin tak terkendali menimbulkan ancaman lingkungan yang signifikan. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, diperlukan solusi untuk mengurangi jumlah sampah yang terus bertambah. Penelitian ini mengusulkan pengembangan aplikasi yang memfasilitasi pertukaran sampah daur ulang dengan uang digital (e-money) dan pulsa. Aplikasi ini bertujuan untuk menyederhanakan proses pertukaran sampah dan mengatasi keterbatasan pada aplikasi yang sudah ada. Aplikasi yang diusulkan mengintegrasikan elemen-elemen gamifikasi, meningkatkan keterlibatan pengguna melalui insentif berbasis poin. Selain itu, aplikasi ini memanfaatkan uang digital sebagai mekanisme penghargaan, sejalan dengan tren transaksi digital. Metodologi penelitian melibatkan wawancara dan tinjauan literatur untuk mengumpulkan informasi, seperti flowchart, use case diagram, dan activity diagram. Desain sistem proses pertukaran sampah, pertukaran poin, dan riwayat transaksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan efektivitas aplikasi ini dalam menyederhanakan proses pertukaran sampah, menawarkan antarmuka yang ramah pengguna, dan memastikan transaksi yang aman. Pengguna dapat meminta pengambilan sampah, melacak riwayat transaksi, dan menukar poin yang diperoleh menjadi uang digital atau pulsa. Inisiatif ini tidak hanya mengatasi masalah lingkungan, tetapi juga mendorong rasa tanggung jawab di kalangan masyarakat, pada pengelolaan sampah di Indonesia.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to analyze and optimize the control system of this robot through simulations to improve efficiency and production quality in the ceramic industry or other manufacturing sectors. The study consists of several stages, including a literature review to comprehend the concepts of the Falcon Millennium Robot, PLC Omron, and relevant theories in automation and robotics. Subsequently, problem identification is conducted to pinpoint areas that require analysis and optimization. The next step involves designing a Ladder Diagram using CX-Programmer software to control the automatic palletization process. Additionally, the control system's user interface (HMI) is designed using CX-Designer to facilitate the operator in controlling the system. Once the design is completed, simulations are conducted to verify the robot's performance and the palletization process before physical implementation. Experimental data is analyzed and collected in tables to measure efficiency, Conveyor 1 and Conveyor 2 speeds, and the time taken to transfer boxes to the warehouse. The analysis results show an average efficiency of approximately 88.5% in the automatic palletization process. Conveyor 1 and Conveyor 2 speeds increase gradually, and the average time taken to transfer boxes to the warehouse is around 41 seconds.

Abstract

Peningkatan ketergantungan pada internet dalam era globalisasi dan kemajuan teknologi informasi membawa dampak signifikan terhadap pengelolaan sumber daya jaringan, khususnya bandwidth. Permasalahan yang timbul, seperti lambatnya koneksi, gangguan, dan ketidakstabilan jaringan, dapat menghambat produktivitas pengguna dan kinerja organisasi. Banyak organisasi dan lembaga mengalami kendala dalam mengelola bandwidth secara efisien, terutama karena kurangnya pemahaman tentang teknologi manajemen bandwidth yang tepat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan bandwidth dan kualitas layanan internet di lingkungan jaringan Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Teknologi Ketenagalistrikan, Energi Baru, Terbarukan, dan Konservasi Energi (P3TEK EBTKE). Metode yang diterapkan adalah manajemen bandwidth menggunakan metode Queue Tree tipe PCQ melalui perangkat simulasi GNS3. Konfigurasi dilakukan dengan mengatur batas bandwidth download sebesar 192k dan upload sebesar 64k. Pengujian dilakukan pada tiga perangkat klien (PC Kepala Bidang, PC Staf 1, dan PC Staf 2) untuk mengevaluasi kinerja jaringan. Hasil pengujian, melalui PING test dan indikator winbox, menunjukkan bahwa setelah konfigurasi, semua perangkat klien dapat mengakses internet dengan lancar dan stabil. Implementasi metode Queue Tree tipe PCQ berhasil mengatasi masalah kelambatan akses internet di ruang bidang penyelenggara dan sarana litbang di P3TEK EBTKE, yang pada akhirnya meningkatkan produktivitas dalam melakukan tugas dan pekerjaan di lingkungan tersebut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji penggunaan algoritma pohon keputusan, khususnya C4.5, dalam klasifikasi kelayakan distribusi dana bantuan sosial di Kelurahan Bangka Belitung Laut, Kecamatan Pontianak Tenggara. Ketidaktepatan distribusi yang terjadi disebabkan oleh penyeleksian penerima berdasarkan rekomendasi perangkat desa yang hanya mempertimbangkan jenis pekerjaan. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem berbasis algoritma C4.5 yang mengolah data sensus ekonomi penduduk. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analitis, mengumpulkan data melalui studi pustaka dan sensus ekonomi, dan mengolah data menggunakan a plikasi Rapid Miner. Model klasifikasi yang dihasilkan dievaluasi menggunakan metode 10-fold cross-validation untuk memastikan akurasi yang tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa algoritma C4.5 mencapai akurasi, precision, dan recall sebesar 100%. Model pohon keputusan yang dihasilkan menunjukkan bahwa atribut utama yang menentukan kelayakan adalah jenis pekerjaan dan pendapatan. Beberapa aturan yang dihasilkan dari model ini, seperti penduduk yang belum bekerja dengan pendapatan di bawah Rp29.500 layak menerima bantuan, memberikan panduan yang jelas bagi pengambil kebijakan. Implementasi algoritma ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keadilan dan efektivitas distribusi dana bantuan sosial di Kelurahan Bangka Belitung Laut, mengurangi ketidakpuasan masyarakat, dan mencegah potensi konflik sosial. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan adopsi model di wilayah lain dengan penyesuaian terhadap data lokal untuk meningkatkan keadilan distribusi bantuan secara lebih luas.

Abstract

Urban parking management is an urgent challenge in an ever-increasing vehicle mobility era. This research develops an intelligent parking system that integrates RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) technology and Arduino Mega 2560 R3 to predict the vehicle's position in real time. The initial literature study identified various approaches to parking management, but none comprehensively combined RFID and Arduino Mega 2560 R3. Therefore, this study fills this gap. The research method involves literature study, system design, hardware and software development, and field testing. In the proposed system, vehicles are equipped with RFID cards, and the parking infrastructure is equipped with RFID readers. When the vehicle enters the parking area, the system reads the RFID card and predicts available parking positions. The results of field tests show an increase in the efficiency of parking space use of around 37% to 46%, and the accuracy of parking position prediction is above 90%. This research provides effective solutions for urban parking management, reducing traffic congestion and air pollution. This system also increases the driver's comfort in finding a suitable parking space. Thus, this research has the potential to support more sustainable urban development by optimizing the use of parking lots and reducing the negative impact of motorized vehicles in urban areas.
