Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a valid, practical, and effective e-modules for Project Based Learning in Electrical Lighting Installation. This e-modules of the Project Based Learning in Electrical Lighting Installation module is designed to improve students' understanding that it can improve student learning outcomes. The method in this study uses Research and Development (RD) with 4-D development procedures (Define, Design, Develop, Desseminate).The data of analysis technique uses descriptive analysis techniques to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the e-modules for Project Based Learning in Electrical Lighting Installation. The results obtained from this development research: The validity of the e-modules for Project Based Learning in Electrical Lighting Installation is declared valid on the media and material aspects.The practicality of the e-modules for Project Based Learning in Electrical Lighting Installation from the teachers and students respones is stated to be very practical. The effectiveness of the e-modules for Project Based Learning in Electrical Lighting Installation is stated to be effective in improve to learn the outcomes. Based on the findings of this study, it is concluded that the e-modules of Project Based Learning in Electrical Lighting Installation is valid, practical, and effective to be used as a learning aid.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan sesuatu yang sangat diperlukan dalam kehidupan, baik sebagai fungsi sosial maupun sebagai arah pertumbuhan dan perkembangan manusia menuju lebih baik . Dengan kemajuan Teknologi mempengaruhi mempengaruhi pragmatism pada Pendidikan vokasi, Pendidikan tidak hanya sekedar persoalan teknis tetapi juga mencakup persoalan etika dan teologis yang saling melengkapi. Pendidikan dan dunia industri tidak terlepas dari perkembangan teknologi baru yang menyebabkan meningkatnya kebutuhan akan Sumber Daya Manusia dengan kemampuan yang lebih tinggi untuk mendukung peningkatan produktivitas. Sekolah kejuruan sebagai lembaga pendidikan tinggi pasca sekolah menengah mempunyai peranan penting dalam merencanakan dan menciptakan sumber daya manusia yang profesional dan efektif. Pendidikan yang diselenggarakan di berbagai Universitas pada tingkat akademik dan politeknik bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mahasiswa guna mempersiapkan mereka menjadi pekerja tingkat menengah atau tinggi, namun memiliki keterampilan yang cukup di samping keterampilan konseptual yang handal di era digital saat ini. Pendidikan dan pelatihan vokasi merupakan suatu pendekatan pendidikan yang menitikberatkan pada kebutuhan industri agar peningkatan dan pengembangan pribadi dalam industri dapat tercapai. Berdasarkan teori yang ada, pendidikan vokasi mempunyai peluang untuk menjawab berbagai tantangan perubahan yang ditimbulkan oleh kemajuan teknologi. Namun kebijakan yang ditetapkan Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan pada dasarnya adalah kebijakan penerapan gagasan filsafat pragmatis, khususnya filsafat mengambil konsekuensi praktis sebagai standar penentuan nilai keadilan dan kebenaran. Akar pemikiran pragmatis inilah yang kemudian akan bermakna dalam menetapkan tujuan pendidikan masa depan seperti, keterampilan karir dan kemampuan memecahkan masalah sosial secara efektif. Bagi perguruan tinggi penyelenggara pendidikan profesional, kondisi ini dapat menjadi peluang sekaligus tantangan untuk semakin memperkuat perannya sebagai penghasil sumber daya manusia yang mampu menjawab kebutuhan pasar industri global yang terus membutuhkan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas untuk mengikuti perubahan yang terjadi saat ini.

Abstract

Upon graduation, the aim of education graduates is to become qualified educators capable of meeting the needs of education, society, and industry. Graduates of the Electrical Engineering Education Study Programme are expected to possess superior competence and provide solutions to societal problems. The research conducted is descriptive in nature, utilising a qualitative approach. The study was carried out at the Faculty of Engineering, State University of Padang. The research instrument comprised documents such as course outlines, course synopses, and syllabi in Electrical Engineering Education at Padang State University. Data was collected through interviews and documentation. The study aimed to create a mapping of Electrical Engineering Education courses at Padang State University. The UNP Electrical Engineering Education program requires students to complete a set number of courses each semester. In semester 1, students must complete 22 SKS; in semester 2, 22 SKS; in semester 3, 22 SKS; in semester 4, 19 SKS; in semester 5, 22 SKS; in semester 6, 20 SKS; in semester 7, 8 SKS; and in semester 8, 10 SKS of final courses. The requirement for Semester Credit Units for Electrical Engineering Education students at Padang State University is 145 credits.

Abstract

Education at the high school (SMA) and vocational school (SMK) levels faces challenges in preparing creative and competent students. To address these challenges, a combination of technology is needed in the fields of science, mathematics, and engineering. A study on the implementation of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in learning in Indonesia. To test its effectiveness, a meta-analysis was conducted which included 25 articles published between 2018 and 2023. The findings showed that STEM learning has a significant role in improving student learning outcomes with an overall effect size of 6,89. Based on the data analysis of the application of the STEM approach, it can develop the ability to solve problems rationally, conduct research, question, collaborate, criticize, analyze and can also improve the ability to access information, adapt to change, make decisions, produce, be responsible, show curiosity, interact in a social and cultural context, and develop leadership and entrepreneurship traits in students. The STEM approach provides a solid foundation for developing a variety of skills and attitudes that are important in facing the challenges and demands of the modern world of students.
