Abstract

This article explores the praxis of differentiation learning in the context of the Free Learning Curriculum through the lens of the "Totality and Infinity" proposed by Emanuel Levinas. The literature review approach explored the relationship between the praxis of differentiation learning and Levinas' notions of ethical responsibility towards other individuals. The literature reviews the methods in this article to see their relevance and implications and provide a critical note on Levinas's ideas regarding differentiation approaches. The results illustrate the understanding of the praxis of differentiation learning in the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum, which is associated with Levinas' concept of ethical responsibility and relationships between individuals. The discussion explored the implications of these findings in everyday education practice, identifying challenges that may arise and opportunities to improve the praxis of differentiation learning, both on implementing the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum and on the sustainability of education programs in Indonesia. The conclusion highlights the importance of considering ethical aspects in designing and implementing differentiation learning praxis and providing direction for further research and practice.

Abstract

Interpersonal intelligence is an important component in the teaching profession that enables them to understand and build effective relationships with students. This study aims to explore the interpersonal intelligence of social education teachers in primary schools in the Manggarai region, which has unique social and cultural characteristics. This study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and classroom observations of twelve social education teachers who have a minimum of five years of teaching experience. Data analysis was conducted using a thematic approach and triangulation of methods to ensure the validity of the findings. The findings show that teachers have a diverse understanding of interpersonal intelligence, which is mostly formed through teaching experience. Teachers successfully implement various learning strategies that integrate local wisdom values, but also face challenges such as limited time and resources. This research confirms the importance of interpersonal intelligence in improving the effectiveness of social education learning in primary schools. The results of this study provide a basis for developing strategies to improve teachers' interpersonal competencies as well as education policies that are more responsive to local needs in Manggarai.

The workshop successfully increased the capacity of 42 principals with a 68% increase in understanding of transformational leadership. Participants produced 10 innovative action plans based on the local context and formed five peer mentoring groups for program sustainability. The level of participant satisfaction reached 87% based on the end-of-program evaluation. The collaboration with Universitas Katolik Indonesia Santu Paulus Ruteng plays a strategic role in providing academic assistance and creating a sustainable learning ecosystem to improve the quality of education in West Manggarai.
