Abstract

This study aims to analyze the cash flow dynamics of PT X’s construction project using the Markov Chain Model. The data used consist of monthly net cash flows for the period from June 2020 to December 2025, which are classified into four states: Severe Deficit, Moderate Deficit, Stable, and High Surplus. The analysis was conducted using a transition probability matrix, steady-state distribution, multi-period probability prediction, and Mean First Passage Time (MFPT). The results of the study show that PT X’s cash flow condition is volatile and is not strongly dominated by any particular state. The steady-state distribution shows that the company’s long-term probability of being in the deficit group, consisting of Severe Deficit and Moderate Deficit, reaches 49.87%, while the probability of being in the non-deficit group, consisting of Stable and High Surplus, reaches 50.12%. These findings indicate that deficit risk and non-deficit opportunities are relatively balanced. Therefore, PT X needs to manage liquidity, cash reserves, receivables, project terms, and working capital in a more adaptive and probability-based manner.

Abstract

This study examines the Indonesian capital market reaction to the announcement of the appointment of Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa as Minister of Finance on September 8, 2025. Using an event study approach, the analysis focuses on companies included in the LQ45 index and observes market reaction within an eleven-day event window from five trading days before to five trading days after the announcement. Market reaction is measured using abnormal return, trading volume activity, and stock volatility. The data consist of daily stock prices, trading volume, outstanding shares, and market index data obtained from capital market data sources. Because the normality test indicates that the data are not normally distributed, the hypotheses are tested using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The findings show significant differences in abnormal return, trading volume activity, and stock volatility before and after the announcement. These results indicate that the appointment of the Minister of Finance contains information value for investors and is associated with changes in price reaction, trading intensity, and perceived market risk among LQ45 stocks. The study contributes to event study literature by documenting market responses to a strategic fiscal leadership event in an emerging capital market

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) have a crucial role in the economy, but they continue to encounter challenges in financial decisions because of behavioral and managerial influences. The swift growth of fintech provides possible ways to enhance efficiency and the quality of financial decisions for SMEs. This research seeks to examine how financial knowledge and financial attitudes influence financial decisions, with fintech serving as an intervening variable, among SMEs on Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara. This research utilizes a quantitative method featuring an explanatory design. The sampling approach employs non-probability sampling through a judgment sampling method, targeting SMEs involved in the pottery craft sector with export operations, yielding 41 SMEs as research subjects. The findings show that financial knowledge and financial attitude positively and significantly impact the utilization of fintech. Fintech has been shown to influence how financial knowledge impacts financial decisions, yet it does not influence how financial attitude affects those decisions. Moreover, the utilization of fintech positively and significantly influences financial decisions. Fintech significantly contributes to enhancing the impact of financial knowledge on the financial decisions of SMEs.
