Abstract

CV FSA is a company engaged in the printing sector. The main printing produced in this company is labels for various types of vegetables. A production activity needs to be planned well. In the process of producing labels, the production planning carried out by the company has not been effective because there are still labels that have not reached the production quantity, namely 33369 sweet mustard labels. This can reduce consumer satisfaction with the company. Therefore, there needs to be effective label production planning in the future. To estimate the number of future order requests, it can be done using the forecasting method. In this study, the forecasting method used is Additive Decomposition. This study aims to plan the production of sweet mustard labels from November 2023 to October 2024. The company only produces labels when there are orders from customers or make to order, so the production planning method that can be used is the chase strategy. The calculation results using the chase strategy method obtained the number of sweet mustard greens label production during regular hours in November 2023 to October 2024 were 9037, 9626, 9757, 9350, 9735, 8681, 9970, 9361, 10057, 8788, 9391, 9661 pcs with the largest number of workers needed being 5 people.

Abstract

The increasing energy consumption in alumina refinery industrial operations drives the need for diversification of more sustainable energy sources. PT “X” Alumina Refinery (PT.”X”) in West Kalimantan consumes large amounts of fossil energy for the Bayer process including digestion, evaporation, and calcination stages. This study examines the potential integration of biomass power plants based on bauxite residue (red mud and oversize bauxite) and local West Kalimantan biomass (palm shell, wood powder, and rice husk) as partial fossil energy substitutes through co-firing and gasification technologies. The study was conducted using a techno-economic analysis approach with mathematical models of energy balance, thermal efficiency, and life cycle cost analysis. Results show that total energy potential from bauxite residue and local biomass reaches 319,009 GJ/year (10.11 MW equivalent) within the operational radius, and 485,600 GJ/year (42.7 MW equivalent) at the provincial scale. Implementation of 30% biomass co-firing in existing boilers can reduce coal consumption by 89,250 tons/year and save net energy costs of IDR 87.3 billion per year. Environmental assessment shows CO₂ emission reductions of 198,450 tons/year (63.8% of baseline emissions). Economic feasibility analysis yields NPV = IDR 412.8 billion, IRR = 18.7%, and a payback period of 5.3 years, confirming the project's financial viability and contribution to Indonesia's 2060 Net Zero Emission target

Abstract

The convection business unit operated by BUMDes Karya Raharja, located in Galudra Village, Pondok Salam Subdistrict, Purwakarta Regency, continues to face a high defect rate, averaging 15.52% per month, due to limited resources, the absence of standard operating procedures (SOPs), and a quality control system that has not been implemented optimally. This study aims to identify the failure modes occurring in the convection production process, assess their risk levels using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method, and formulate improvement proposals to reduce the defect rate. A descriptive case-study approach with a mixed-method design was employed, combining quantitative data on production and defect volumes with qualitative data obtained through observation and interviews across four production stages: cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing. Process FMEA (PFMEA) was applied to calculate the Risk Priority Number (RPN) for each failure mode, followed by the development of corrective actions using the 5W+1H approach. The results identified six failure modes with RPN values ranging from 108 to 280. Four failure modes were categorized as high priority (RPN ≥ 200): defective/stained fabric passing through to the finishing stage (RPN 280), loose or broken sewing thread (RPN 256), untidy stitching (RPN 252), and cut-fabric dimensions not matching the pattern (RPN 210). The sewing and finishing stages were identified as the critical points in the production process. The resulting improvement proposals are practical and do not require significant investment or complex systems. This study demonstrates that FMEA can be effectively applied in a resource-limited, village-owned enterprise (BUMDes) convection business.

Abstract

PT XYZ manufactures rotogravure cylinders as printing masters for flexible packaging. The primary issue was the high reprocessing ratio (reprocess NG) during January–November 2024 and 2025, reaching Year-to-Date (YTD) averages of 3.89% and 2.37% respectively, both exceeding the company's 2.00% tolerance target. This study aims to identify the dominant defects, analyze their root causes, and formulate corrective actions using the Quality Control Circle (QCC) method through the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action) cycle and Seven Tools. Pareto chart analysis revealed three dominant defects accounting for 82.21% of the cumulative problems: Bubble (34.62%), Pinhole (29.32%), and Corrosion (18.27%). Fishbone diagram analysis indicated root causes stemming from unstable chemical dosing flow, difficulty cleaning the copper nugget basket, lack of standardized instructions for material replenishment and oiling, and humid storage conditions. Corrective actions included replacing the dosing pump hose, modifying the copper nugget cleaning tool, establishing an enclosed storage area, and developing new Work Instructions equipped with Visual Control Checks. Implementation results for January–March 2026 demonstrated the effectiveness of the QCC method, marked by a significant reduction in defects until the defect ratio was suppressed below the company's target of 2.00%, along with cost savings of Rp30,213,408 over three months.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of service qualityas measured by five dimensions: physical evidence, process control, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy as well as on-time delivery on customer satisfaction at the JNE Express Purwakarta Branch. The background of this study is based on the high number of customer complaints regarding delivery delays and discrepancies between system update information and actual delivery status in 2025. This study employs a quantitative approach, relying on primary data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires. Sampling was conducted using a non-probability sampling technique with an incidental method, resulting in a sample size of 100 respondents from the population of customers who made direct offline transactions. Data analysis was performed using Partial Least Squares (PLS)-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS version 4.0 software. The results of the measurement model evaluation (outer model) confirmed that all indicators met the criteria for convergent and discriminant validity, with factor loadings above 0.70 and an Average Variance Extracted (AVE) exceeding the minimum threshold of 0.50 for each latent construct. Furthermore, the results of hypothesis testing using the bootstrapping method showed that service quality—measured across several aspects such as physical evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy, as well as on-time delivery—significantly influences customer satisfaction, with t-statistic values reaching the critical threshold of 1.96.
