Abstract

This study examines the constraints and strategies for enhancing Islamic financial inclusion in Central Java from the perspectives of supply and demand. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through Focus Group Discussions with five Islamic Rural Banks (BPRS) and surveys involving 66 MSMEs. Findings reveal seven supply-side constraints, including limited public and human resource literacy, absence of ATMs, restricted branch networks, limited capital, difficulties in customer segmentation, and inadequate socialization efforts. Meanwhile, six demand-side barriers were identified, such as limited awareness of BPRS, perceived complexity in financing requirements, and concerns over collateral and loan repayments. To address these issues, two strategies are proposed: 1) targeted socialization and education campaigns and 2) enhanced collaboration with community organizations and stakeholders. The study underscores the need for joint efforts by BPRS, MSMEs, and the government to improve infrastructure and accessibility, thereby fostering broader Islamic financial inclusion

This study investigated the digital financial literacy of female entrepreneurs in Central Java. A survey method was used in this study with 100 women entrepreneurs. Digital Financial Literacy is identified in the three OECD components: Digital Financial Knowledge, Digital Financial Behavior, and Digital Financial Attitudes. The results of this study indicate that the average respondent had sufficient knowledge of digital finance. Limited knowledge of insurance services and capital markets. Meanwhile, the digital financial behavior and attitude components show that digital security protection measures are still low. It is hoped that digital financial literacy can support female entrepreneurs in developing their businesses.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to analyze the factors that influence inflation, financing risk, and digital payments on financial stability at Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. Design/Methodology/Approach – This study uses a quantitative approach and purposive sampling technique with sample criteria being banks listed during the study period and publishing complete quarterly reports consistently. The data analysis technique uses panel data regression analysis, with the Random Effect Model (REM) in EViews 13. Findings – The results of the study indicate that inflation has a significant positive effect on the financial stability of Islamic banks. Financing risk has a significant negative effect on the financial stability of Islamic banks. Meanwhile, the digital payment variable does not have a significant effect on the financial stability of Islamic banks.Research limitations/Implications – This study provides empirical insights by combining macroeconomic, risk, and digital payment variables to assess the stability of Islamic banks, which has been underexplored in previous research. The limitation of this study is the limited variable and geographical coverage of Islamic banks in Indonesia.
