Abstract

Challenges encountered during the Industrial Era 4.0 include information technology security, the reliability and stability of production machinery, insufficient skills, resistance to change among stakeholders, and significant job displacement due to automation. This study aimed to investigate variations in digital literacy skills between students using modules and those not using modules in a flipped classroom setting at SMKN 4 Bojonegoro. The research employed experimental quantitative methods, utilizing observation and student test results for data collection. Data analysis involved the use of an independent sample T-TEST. The results of the T-TEST indicated that the average score for the module group was 78.53 with 30 participants, while the non-module group averaged 73.3 with 30 participants, resulting in a difference (diff) of 5.2. The statistical significance (p-value) in the Pr(T>t) row (under Ha: diff > 0) was found to be less than 0.05, confirming a statistically significant difference between the two groups. This study concludes that students' digital literacy skills in the software engineering program at SMKN 4 Bojonegoro are higher when using teaching modules in flipped classroom learning compared to those who do not use modules. This research contributes to the educational database at SMKN 4 Bojonegoro, particularly for class XI students in the software engineering expertise program.

Abstract

The creative industry era has changed the global economic landscape, creating new opportunities and challenges for graduates of Visual Communication Design (DKV). This study aims to analyze the impact of technical skills on the employability of DKV students in Indonesia in the context of the rapidly growing creative industry. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, a survey was conducted on 412 respondents, consisting of final-year students and new alumni of the DKV Expertise Concentration. The results showed a significant positive correlation between technical skills and employability skills (r = 0.68, p < 0.001), with technical skills predicting 43% of the variance in employability skills. Further analysis revealed that the most significant gaps were adapting to new technologies and project management, which are essential for today's workforce. In addition, UI/UX design, data visualization, and interactive digital content were identified as the industry's most needed technical skill areas. This study emphasizes the importance of developing a DKV curriculum that balances technical and soft skills, such as communication, collaboration, and problem-solving, to improve graduates' readiness to face the demands of the creative industry era. The implications of this research include the need for curriculum updates responsive to industry trends, strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and industry, and developing more effective transition programs from campus to the world of work.

Abstract

This study evaluated the implementation of a Moving Average Filter (MAF) to improve the stability of digital temperature measurements in an Arduino-based microclimate monitoring system. Although low-cost digital sensors are widely used for real-time environmental monitoring, their readings may fluctuate because of short-term noise, electrical interference, and rapid environmental variation. This study aimed to determine whether a lightweight MAF algorithm could reduce temperature-data variability without substantially altering the overall temperature trend. A quantitative experimental design was employed using an Arduino Uno, a DHT22 digital temperature sensor, and a five-sample MAF window. Temperature data were acquired at one-second intervals under fixed sensor-position and normal environmental conditions. Raw and filtered readings were compared using descriptive statistical parameters, including mean, standard deviation, minimum value, maximum value, and data range. The results showed that the mean temperature remained comparable before and after filtering, decreasing only from 30.17 °C to 30.11 °C. However, the standard deviation decreased from 0.39 to 0.09, while the data range declined from 1.2 °C to 0.3 °C. The reduction in standard deviation indicated a 76.92% decrease in short-term measurement variability. Graphical comparisons also showed that filtered data followed a smoother pattern with fewer abrupt fluctuations than raw sensor readings. These findings indicate that the MAF can improve temperature-data stability in resource-limited embedded systems while maintaining the general environmental trend. Nevertheless, further studies should compare the method with Kalman, median, and adaptive filters under more dynamic environmental conditions and across multiple sensor types.
