Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Qur'an Reading Guidance (BMQ) program in improving the quality of student reading at SMA Negeri 3 Palangka Raya. The method used is service learning, where students act as mentors to provide Qur'an reading guidance to 40 students for several sessions. Data collection was done through reading quality tests, observations, and interviews. Results showed significant improvement, with students' average reading score increasing from 65 in the pre-test to 85 in the post-test. Students also reported increased confidence and understanding of correct reading techniques. The program proved that an interactive and participatory approach to learning can have a positive impact not only on Qur'an reading skills, but also on students' character development. The findings recommend implementing similar models in other schools to strengthen religious education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Pembiasaan sholat dhuha di kalangan siswa dalam rangka memberi pengalaman serta pembiasaan agar siswa terbiasa mengerjakan sholat baik itu sholat sunnah ataupun sholat wajib sebagai upaya untuk membentuk karakter dan meningkatkan kedisiplinan mereka dalam beribadah. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini yaitu servive learning (SL) yang melibatkan mahasiswa sebagai pengabdi dalam membimbing siswa agar terbiasa untuk melaksanakan ibadah sunnah sholat dhuha dan dilakukan secara rutin setiap sebelum pembelajaran dimulai di SMAN 3 Palangka Raya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sebelum kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan sebagian siswa masih ada yang malas dalam mengerjakan sholat. Dengan pengabdian pembiasaan melakukan sholat sunnah dhuha sebelum pembelajaran dimulai diharapkan dapat membiasakan siswa terbiasa dalam mengerjakan sholat. Hasil pengabdian menunjukan kemajuan yang signifikan dalam antusias siswa dalam mengerjakan sholat dhuha.

Abstract

Technology provides various alternative learning methods, such as videos, animations, simulations, and educational games, which make learning more interesting and interactive. This study aims to develop video-based learning media and wordwall educational quizzes to improve students' concentration on Bani Abbasiyah material at MTs Terpadu Berkah Palangka Raya. The research method used is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) which consists of five stages, namely needs analysis, media design, development, implementation, and effectiveness evaluation. The results of the analysis show that students find it difficult to concentrate when the teacher explains the learning material. Therefore, interactive media is needed to improve concentration and understanding so that students are interested in the material presented. At the development stage, we will create learning media in the form of visualization videos of Bani Abbasiyah material, as well as wordwall-based quizzes to increase student participation. The trial of the development of this learning media was carried out in one meeting and learning was delivered to students using the developed media. Video and wordwall- based media have proven successful and received positive responses from students because they can increase interest in learning and active participation in the learning process. This study concludes that the results are quite satisfactory in improving concentration and focus in studentsbecause the results of the questionnaire obtained students feel interested and enthusiastic about the media provided which indirectly makes them focus on the video. Therefore, video-based learning media and wordwalls can be an effective alternative to improve students' concentration and understanding of the subject of Islamic Cultural History, especially in the Bani Abbasiyah material.
