Abstract

Anxiety is one of the most influential factors for individuals, especially those in prison. Field observations have shown that anxiety does not support the mental health of inmates. When an individual's emotions or ego exceed normal limits, they tend to have a greatly influenced attitude. Thus, religious coping is the most influential factor for an individual's mental health in decision-making. This research focuses on investigating whether there is a correlation between religious coping and anxiety among inmates before their release from Class II A Penitentiary in Banyuwangi Regency. This research is a quantitative study with a correlational analysis approach. The sample was determined using purposive sampling technique. The data were collected by distributing questionnaires and analyzed using Pearson Product Moment correlation. The study found that 62.9%, or 22 inmates, had a high level of religious coping, while 25.7%, or 9 other inmates, still had anxiety before their release from Class II A Penitentiary in Banyuwangi Regency. These results proved that the level of anxiety among inmates was lower than their level of religious coping. The findings also showed that there was a significant correlation between religious coping and anxiety among inmates before their release from Class II A Penitentiary in Banyuwangi Regency, with a Pearson correlation of -0.433 and a significance level (p) of 0.009, which means P > 0.05. In other words, if an inmate's religious coping increases, it will reduce their anxiety, and vice versa.

Abstract

Islam is a religion full of mercy not only for its adherents but also for the entire universe (Ar-Rahmatan Lil 'Alamien). The digital era and globalization demand its followers to constantly adapt in order not to be left behind amidst the tremendous development of information and technology. Hence, there is a need for proper filtering and management in understanding the noble mission of da'wah. The aim of this research is to explore 1) management issues, 2) issues in management and their relationship with the reputation of da'is/organizations/companies, and 3) the steps for controlling and managing these issues. In this study, the research method employed is library research involving the utilization of library resources and literature to gather relevant data on the research topic. Researchers used library catalogs and online databases to search for and select high-quality sources. The findings of this research indicate that among the main management issues for implementing classical to modern da'wah strategies and the use of Information Technology include: issue management, steps for controlling and managing issues, the function of issue management (intelligent planning and operations, strong defense and smart attacks, exploring foundations). Additionally, the issue management process model by Chase & Jones comprises five models: issue identification, issue analysis, choice of change strategy for the issue, Action Programming against the Issue, and evaluation of outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach integrated with the Understanding by Design (UbD) framework to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN Karangrejo 4. The problem stems from the imbalance in numeracy skills and low understanding of number operations concepts due to classical learning that has not been adjusted to students' learning readiness. This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, assessment process, and student responses to the TaRL-UbD model, as well as to analyze its contribution to improving learning outcomes. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving teachers, students, and the principal. The results show that diagnostic assessments successfully map students into three levels of basic, intermediate, and advanced abilities, which form the basis for differentiated learning. The integration of UbD ensures clear learning objectives and aligned assessments, while TaRL provides targeted interventions according to students' mastery levels. The findings show an increase in procedural accuracy, understanding of number operations, learning engagement, and student confidence. Teachers also reported more focused classes and more meaningful learning interactions. Overall, the TaRL–UbD model has proven effective in creating adaptive and focused mathematics learning, making it a promising strategy for strengthening numeracy in elementary schools.
