<![CDATA[The use of accurate information technology in the form of an expert system to improve service is urgently needed in the paint industry. As we all know, paint serves to provide protection and beautify. Paint has various types, so choosing the right type of paint will give maximum results. The purpose of this research is to implement an expert system for selecting the Jotun Paint Type for the outer walls of the house. The expert system method for solving wall paint selection problems is the Certainty Factor method, which uses 11 house conditions that provide 6 Jotun paint-type solutions for the outer walls of the house. The results of this study are an expert system for selecting Jotun paint types with an accuracy rate of 100%. These results were obtained through testing using ten rules, and all the rules gave the appropriate results.Keywords: Selection of Cats; Certainty Factor; Expert system AbstrakPenggunaan teknologi informasi yang akurat dalam bentuk sistem pakar untuk peningkatan pelayanan sangat dibutuhkan dalam industri cat. Seperti yang kita tahu bersama, cat berfungsi untuk memberikan perlindungan, dan memperindah. Cat memiliki berbagai macam jenis, sehingga pemilihan jenis cat yang tepat akan memberikan hasil yang lebih maksimal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengimplementasikan sistem pakar untuk pemilihan Jenis Cat Jotun untuk tembok luar rumah. Metode sistem pakar untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan pemilihan cat tembok adalah metode Certainty Factor, yang menggunakan 11 Kondisi rumah yang memberikan 6 solusi jenis cat Jotun untuk tembok luar rumah. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah sistem pakar pemilihan jenis cat Jotun dengan tingkat keakuratan sebesar 100%.
