Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the multimedia-assisted Problem Based Learning model and digital simulation on students' critical thinking skills. This is a quantitative quasi-experimental study, with a pretest-posttest non-equivalent group design. The population consisted of 431 tenth-grade students at SMA N 3 Semarang, and the sample consisted of 72 students. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data collection methods included pretest and posttest, student questionnaires that had been tested for validity using SPSS Version 31, and observation sheets. Data analysis methods included descriptive statistical analysis, independent sample t-test, and N-Gain test. The results showed that the use of PBL assisted by digital simulation was more effective than the use of PBL assisted by interactive multimedia. This was seen from the average posttest results in the experimental class, which was 79.03, while in the control class it was 74.22. Then, the N-Gain test score for the control class was 49.94 or 50%, which was categorized as ineffective. Meanwhile, the N-Gain of the experimental class was 61.50 or 62%, which is classified as moderately effective. Researchers are expected to further expand the learning model used according to needs and conditions and select learning media that are interesting but also suitable for learning activities.

Abstract

Sustainable consumption behavior is an important aspect of environmental education. Although SMA Negeri 14 Semarang has implemented various environmental programs as an Adiwiyata Mandiri School, there remains a gap between students' understanding of sustainability and their consumption practices. This study aims to analyze the influence of environmental awareness, peer support, and self-efficacy on sustainable consumption behavior through behavioral intentions and to examine the role of perceived school support as a moderating variable. This study used a quantitative approach with a causal design. The sample size was 283 students selected using proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression and mediation and moderation tests with PROCESS Hayes. The results show that environmental awareness and peer support have a significant positive effect on sustainable consumption behavior, while self-efficacy and behavioral intentions do not have a significant direct effect. Environmental awareness, peers, and self-efficacy have a significant effect on behavioral intentions. Behavioral intentions mediate the relationship between the variables, while perceived school support moderates the relationship between behavioral intentions and sustainable consumption behavior. These findings enrich the study of sustainable consumption behavior and provide a basis for schools to strengthen the habit of sustainable consumption behavior in students.

Abstract

This community engagement program aims to develop Kauman Village in Kudus City as an educational tourism village based on historical heritage and traditional arts through a participatory training approach. The program was implemented in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation stage involved coordination and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with the Kudus Regency Department of Culture and Tourism, village authorities, and the youth organization (Karang Taruna). The implementation stage focused on historical storytelling training, digital media literacy enhancement, and the production of tourism promotional content grounded in local narratives. Evaluation was conducted through observation, interviews, and joint reflection with community partners. The FGD results emphasized the importance of mapping supporting villages within the Menara Kudus heritage area to avoid overlapping tourism routes. Based on this mapping, Kauman Village was designated as a historical tourism zone, highlighting narratives of Islamic dissemination and Hindu–Islamic cultural acculturation. The training activities improved participants’ understanding of local history, communication skills, and digital literacy. Program outputs included a historical narrative module and storytelling videos used for educational and digital promotional purposes. Overall, the program demonstrates that community-based training supported by local narratives and digital technology effectively promotes sustainable historical tourism village development.
