Abstract

This study aims to determine the leadership role of school principals in improving teacher performance and discipline. Principal leadership is very influential on school development, especially for teacher performance and discipline, where the teacher's role is also needed in improving the quality of student abilities and can be seen from the teaching and learning process. This study used a qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results of this study indicate that the Principal's Leadership Role at Ngluwar 2 Public Elementary School, Ngluwar District, Magelang Regency in improving the performance of the principal teacher always provides guidance and direction for the intended results and as a result the students of Ngluwar 2 Public Elementary School get achievements from the MAPSI, FTBI, and Story Telling.. Whereas in terms of discipline the school principal requires teachers to attend online-based application systems (SIABA). There are several supporting and inhibiting factors in the Leadership Role of the Principal of SD Negeri Ngluwar 2 Ngluwar District, Magelang Regency, namely the availability of facilities and infrastructure, and the existence constraints in human resources.

Abstract

Madrasah leadership management has a very important role in determining the management of school management. Success or failure is influenced by how the principal carries out the management function. Recruitment of students is the process of accepting new students in an educational institution. MI Al-Islam Sutopati 3 is one of the educational institutions that implements the leadership management of the madrasa head in student recruitment. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The object of this research is MI Al Islam Sutopati 3. The purpose of this research is to find out how the implementation of the madrasa head's leadership management in the recruitment of students. The results of the study show that MI Al Islam Sutopati 3 applies the management of the madrasa head in accepting new students. The management stages carried out are planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling.

Abstract

Educationis the spear head of a country.Because a country will be said to be successfulif in the implementation of education has metthe existing educational standards in a country. During the Covid-19 pandemic, educational activities have changed. All elements of education are forced to carry out distance learning activities or online learning. Learning activities carrie dout at home have a positive and negative impact on teachers and students. Many problems are experienced during online learning activities. The decline in character education for students is felt once when students experience online learning.This happens because learning is carried out at home with minimal supervision from teachers, even parents at home who have more time to meet their children have not maximize dinsupervising the irchildren when learning online at home. This study took a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection through interview studies, data collection throug observation and documentation studies. The results show edanincrease in thechar acter of students during online learning carried outusing the Zoom Meet platform, Whatsapp Group, Google meet and home visits to students'home inrotation according to the group schedule provided by the school. Religious characteris instilled by praying together before and after learning, the practice of dhuha prayers at home, supervision of dhuha prayers during home visits,and the cultivation of tolerance valuesin learning.Students Education is the spearhead of a country. The results showed an increase in the character of students during online learning carried out using the Zoom Meet platform, Whatsapp Group, Google meet and home visits to students' homes in rotation according to the group schedule provided by the school. Religious character is instilled by praying together before and after learning, the practice of dhuha prayers at home, supervision of dhuha prayers during home visits, and the cultivation of tolerance values in learning. Students are given independent and group tasks to instill an independent attitude and mutual assistance. Teachers instill the importance of the nature of the Prophet such as shiddiq, tabligh, Amanah, and fathonah to instill the character of students. All teachers and parents collaborate and strengthen each other's roles in supporting the strengthening of character education values during students carrying out learning from home.
