Abstract

Using media in learning Arabic is an essential way to convey messages and materials quickly to secondary school students. This study explores how students in a modern Islamic boarding school in Indonesia learn Arabic using digital-based media known as Canva, a program that contains both technology and novelty. This research uses mixed methods, with data obtained from observations, interviews, and questionnaires. Results show that learning vocabulary with Canva increases students' motivation and concentration, resulting in more effective and communicative vocabulary learning.

Abstract

Language is a means of communication that humans use to communicate with each other both orally and through text. A translation process is needed so that the listener or reader can understand the intent of the speaker or writer. This research aims to explain the use of reduction techniques in translating Arabic imperative sentences and Arabic nominal sentences into Indonesian by analyzing in terms of I’rab, syntax function and syntax category, as well as the pattern used in translation. This research can add insight to the reader and person who wants to be a translator (Arabic language into the Indonesian language) by giving a detailed explanation regarding reduction techniques and their use in imperative and nominal sentences. The method used, namely qualitative descriptive with a case study from some Arabic sentences that changed the form of reduced syntax functions when translated into the Indonesian language. Through this research, it is known that the reduction technique for solving the Arabic language into the Indonesian language needs to use because of the existence of the second person pronoun (the person being spoken/dhamir mukhatab) no need to mention in Indonesian imperative sentences. The same goes for nominal sentences; reduction technique is used based on the assumption that a syntactic function in Arabic as the source language is not always required in Indonesian as the receiving language.

Abstract

AbstractThis article aims to uncover the effective use of Android-based Arabic learning media (Kahoot). It is intended to assist teachers in the use of Kahoot media in Arabic language learning. Because, many of them still need further introduction to digital-based media so that Arabic learning that is applied attracts the attention of students and is not boring. The method used in this article is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which is the implementation of a systematic program guided by three main pillars, namely research methodology, dimensional action, and participation dimensions. The findings in this article show that teachers in teaching must master learning tools well in order to achieve learning objectives. Improving the ability of a teacher can be done in various ways such as by attending training, seminars, and so on. With the awareness of teachers on their competencies, it is hoped that teacher competence can increase and become better and increase their scientific insight so as to get good results.  AbstrakArtikel ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap penggunaan media pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang efektif dengan berbasis Android (Kahoot). Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk membantu para guru dalam penggunaan media Kahoot pada pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Sebab, banyak dari mereka yang masih membutuhkan pengenalan lebih lanjut tentang media berbasis digital agar pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang diterapkan menjadi menarik perhatian siswa dan tidak membosankan. Metode yang digunakan0dalam artikel ini adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR), yaitu pengimplementasian program yang bersifat sistematis dengan bepedoman pada tiga pilar utama, yaitu metodologi0penelitian, aksi dimensi, dan dimensi partisipasi. Temuan dalam artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa guru dalam mengajar harus menguasai perangkat pembelajaran dengan baik guna mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Peningkatan kemampuan seorang guru bisa dilakukan dengan bermacam cara seperti dengan mengikuti pelatihan, seminar, dan sebagainya. Dengan adanya kesadaran guru terhadap kompetensi yang dimiliki diharapkan kompetensi guru dapat meningkat dan menjadi lebih baik serta menambah wawasan keilmuannya sehingga mendapatkan hasil yang baik.
