Abstract

This research tries to  describe the forms  of expressive speech acts found in Pia Davina's novel "Friends with Bittersweet Love" (FWB). This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The expressive speech acts found in the FWB novel "Friends with Bittersweet Love" by Pia Davina are the data source for this research. To collect data, documentation techniques, namely note-taking techniques, are used to discover and record various styles of expression found in new texts. It is hoped that this research can increase our understanding of how novel characters use language to express their feelings and emotions, as well as how expressive speech acts contribute to the development of story lines and characters.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the development and acquisition of language in children aged 2.5 years using qualitative methods. Qualitative methods are used by analyzing and collecting non-numerical data. This study collected data through direct observation, listening, and speaking. The data obtained consisted of primary and secondary data. Primary data came from the subjects studied directly from the observation, listening, and speaking phases; secondary data came from people around the subjects studied. Jenar Azmya Dzulhijjah's speech was the subject of the study. The results of the study showed that children had acquired various types of speech, such as occurrence, consonant substitution, consonant deletion, and word truncation. There are speeches that can be pronounced correctly, correctly, and clearly, but there are also speeches that cannot be pronounced correctly.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain how social media plays a role in early childhood language learning at Pertiwi 1 Dermaji Kindergarten. This study used a qualitative descriptive research method. In this study, the sample was determined using data collection techniques that focused on specific objectives. The data used came from sources or informants, such as class teachers and several parents of Pertiwi 1 Dermaji Kindergarten students. Data collection was carried out using detailed interview techniques, observation, and document or archive searches. In this study, we utilized interactive data analysis techniques, such as data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. From the results of the study, it was revealed that the acquisition of a second language by Pertiwi 1 Dermaji Kindergarten students was supported by constant interaction in the family environment, as well as the positive impact of the development of social media which is currently growing.
