Abstract

The transformation of student organizations in the digital era faces significant challenges in human resource management, particularly in talent management. Reliance on conventional training methods, a relatively static organizational culture, and the low utilization of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) create significant gaps in the development of member potential. This phenomenon demands a more dynamic, adaptive, and technology-based talent management approach to address the complexities of globalization and digitalization. This study aims to analyze the influence of training, organizational culture, and the use of AI on the effectiveness of talent management in student organizations. A quantitative approach with an explanatory design was used in this study, involving 74 respondents purposively selected from 285 student organization members of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Islam Malang. Data analysis techniques included multiple linear regression and a series of classical assumption tests. The results showed that all three independent variables significantly influenced talent management, both partially and simultaneously, with an adjusted R² value of 66.9%. This finding presents a novel approach in the integration of AI, particularly through computer vision technology and expert systems, as an efficient and objective data-driven evaluation and decision-making tool. This approach is still rarely implemented in the context of non-formal higher education organizations. The practical implications of this research emphasize the importance of synergy between targeted training, collaborative organizational culture, and technological innovation to strengthen competitiveness, loyalty, and leadership quality in sustainable student organizations.

Abstract

This research examines Islamic education parenting and social integration of Muslim minorities in Tanjung Labu Village, Rantau Pulung Sub-district, East Kutai Regency. Using a qualitative method with a case study approach, this research aims to understand the dynamics of Islamic education and social integration strategies in the context of multicultural communities in transmigration areas. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis. The results show that the minority Muslim community in Tanjung Labu Village applies a variety of parenting patterns, from those that tend to be authoritarian in matters of principle to those that are more democratic in other aspects. Social integration efforts are seen in various aspects of life, including education, economy, and culture. Programs such as ‘Friday Taqwa’ in schools and cooperation in farmer groups show positive steps in realizing social integration. However, the research also identified challenges such as the lack of special programs for converts and potential discrimination. The study concludes that efforts to strengthen the social integration of Muslim minorities require a holistic, inclusive, and sustainable approach, involving the active role of the Muslim community and support from various relevant parties. The findings make an important contribution to understanding the complexities of Islamic education and social integration in minority contexts, as well as highlighting the importance of empowering Muslim converts.

Abstract

The integration of local traditions into Islamic marriage law presents a complex dynamic in Indonesia, particularly within the Samin community in Blora Regency, which firmly adheres to the tradition of weton calculation or “ilmu titen”. This study aims to analyze the legal standing of the weton tradition within the framework of Islamic law (‘urf) and to deconstruct its cultural meaning using Roland Barthes’ Semiotic Myth theory. Employing empirical legal research methods with a juridical-sociological approach, this qualitative study collected data through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation in Kediren Village, the historical center of Samin teachings. The results indicate that the weton tradition is systematically integrated into the Nyumuk, Nyuwito, and Paseksen marriage stages, where this calculation serves not as a fatalistic prediction, but as an instrument for psychological risk management and a form of cautious effort (ikhtiar). The study concludes that weton qualifies as ‘urf shahih (valid custom) as it has harmonized with the pillars of Islamic marriage without violating the principles of monotheistic faith (tauhid). Furthermore, as a semiotic myth, weton functions to naturalize cultural values into perceived natural truths, effectively maintaining the communal identity and social order of the Samin community amidst modernization
