Abstract

North of Bandung have regional multifunction. Thereby, land resources management based on existing land characteristic is important. One of important land biophysic potential is soil microorganism. Study location area is 14.492 Hectare. The research methode is survey research which characterization analysis using remote sensing interpretation, geographical information system analysis, and soil microorganism population analysis. Research result shows variation of biodiversity potency of several soil microorganism type in study location. High potency of soil microorganism in 5.020,23 Hectare (34,64%) areas, medium potency in 2.309,86 Hectare (15,94%) areas and low potency in 2.362,76 Hectare (16,30%) areas. Those biophysic potency important to sustainable agriculture development based on organic farming in the North of Bandung Area. Keywords: humic acid, role of humic acid

Abstract

Mount Padang was famous megalith sites placed in Cianjur District. Mani discipline of science studied Mount Padang sites in order to find out the truth of histories. Based on geological studies, Mount Padang sites constructed by andesitic rock, this argument need more fact for get the real data. This research aimed to analysis pedological proses in Mount Padang sites. The result of study was soil classification which description by soil profile. Based on result of reseach the soil in Mount Padang formed in Qv rock formation. The result of soil profile analized with 2 meters depth, there was 10 layer formed e.g Ap, AB, Bw1, Bw2, BC1, BC2, CB1, CB2, C1, and C1. The genesis of Mount Padang soil was in viril levels, due to molic epipedon and cambic that found as below horizon diagnostics. Based on soil taxonomy, this pedon were classified as Typic Dystrudepts.Key words: megalith sites, andesitics rock, soil profile, viril, cambic

Abstract

Terrain analysis on land can be done through field activities or remote sensing. The development of aerial photography technology through drones can be used to identify land conditions, especially on narrow land, and requires large-scale maps. Terrain characterization can use a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) generated through aerial photography with drone vehicles. This study aimed to determine the research location's topographic characteristics, scale, and class of map geometry accuracy. The research location is in the Eastern Region of Padjadjaran Jatinangor University, Hegarmanah Village, Jatinangor District, part of the Cikeruh Sub Das. The method used is a descriptive survey method and quantitative data analysis. The results showed that the topographic characteristics of the study location had an elevation of 715 – 747 m above sea level and a flat slope class (0 – 3%) – steep (>60%), which was dominated by a steep slope class (26 – 40%) on 55 land units. The aerial photography used meets the standard of map accuracy class at a scale of 1:2,500 class 3

Abstract

Jatinangor Subdistrict in West Java Province has potentiality to be grown by peanuts (Arachishypogaea) due to the proper climate and the quite spacious availabity land. The farmers in this areaare also used to grow this legume and the demand for this commodity increases by years. The objectiveof this study was to evaluate actual land suitability classes and economic feasibility of peanuts inJatinangor Subdistrict. The methodology using survey method following by sampling and laboratoryanalyses to evaluate land suitability. The assessment used matching table considering the limitingfactor for evaluating land suitability. The economic feasibility using R/C ratio (Revenue Cost Ratio). The results showed that the actual land suitability class for peanuts class S3 (Marginal Suitable) withthe limiting factors of water availability, organic carbon content and slope. Non suitable also foundwith limiting factors of coarse material and slope. The R/C ratio for peanuts was 1.52, indicating thatpeanuts were feasible and profitable to cultivate in Jatinangor Subdistrict.
