Abstract

The use of digital technology in mathematics education material makes it a very interesting and urgent matter regarding the level of students' abilities regarding the material they are studying, whether students understand mathematics material more easily or have more difficulty understanding it. Geogebra is a free math learning software program that supports a variety of math topics. for use at school. Initially, GeoGebra was only used for learning algebra and geometry, but as it developed, many new features were added and increasingly enriched the existing features. The research method used in this research uses a literature study research method where researchers study the results of previous research. The results of this research conclude that the use of Geogebra mathematics software in learning has a positive influence on students' computing knowledge, learning through Geogebra software makes mathematics learning easier for students to understand and understand, students are more enthusiastic about studying mathematics because teachers balance conventional and mathematics. integrated mathematics learning. Project-based learning using Geogebra mathematics software is more popular with students, thereby increasing students' abilities and enthusiasm for learning mathematics.

Abstract

Mathematics education in Indonesia still faces various challenges, one of which is students’ low conceptual understanding due to predominantly conventional teaching methods. Amid the advancement of digital technology, the MathSolver application emerges as an alternative solution to assist students in understanding mathematical material through its automatic problem-solving feature and step-by-step explanations. This study aims to examine the utilization of the MathSolver application as a mathematics learning medium using a literature review approach. Data sources were obtained from relevant journals or scientific articles published between 2018 and 2024. The review findings indicate that the use of MathSolver can enhance students' conceptual understanding, support independent learning, and increase motivation to learn mathematics. However, there is also a risk of misuse, where students may rely on the application merely to obtain answers without understanding the underlying processes. Therefore, active teacher involvement is essential to guide the wise use of such applications. In conclusion, MathSolver holds significant potential as an effective and adaptive learning tool in the digital era.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has driven the adoption of software tools in computational mathematics education, particularly at the university level. One widely utilized software is Scilab, an open-source platform for numerical computation and data visualization. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Scilab in teaching computational mathematics through a literature review methodology. Peer-reviewed articles and research reports related to Scilab, published within the last five years, were systematically analyzed. The findings reveal that Scilab enhances students' grasp of computational mathematics concepts, simplifies the visualization of complex theoretical constructs, and boosts academic achievement. Key challenges in its implementation include instructor preparedness and the necessity for technical training. This study advocates for the integration of Scilab into higher education curricula to support technology-driven pedagogical approaches in computational mathematics.
