Abstract

This study aims to describe aspects of scientific literacy; 1) Science as the body of knowledge in the science textbooks of grade IV, V, and VI students; 2) Science as a way of investigating science textbooks for grade IV, V, and VI students; 3) Science as a way of thinking in science textbooks for grade IV, V, and VI students; 4) The interaction of science, technology, society, and the environment in the science textbooks of grade IV, V, and VI students. This type of research is descriptive research. The subjects in this study were high class students. The object of this research is the textbooks of grade IV, V, and VI elementary school. The research data was calculated the average value of each expert and then the percentage was calculated according to each aspect of scientific literacy analyzed. The results of the first study show that the indicator presents the concepts of the number of occurrences of 6 with a percentage of 100%. The second aspect shows the largest number of appearances compared to books of class IV and VI. The science aspect as a way of thinking shows the largest number of occurrences compared to books of grades V and VI. the third aspect is deductive and inductive reasoning, skepticism and criticism, and various ways of understanding the natural world. The last aspect shows the largest number of appearances compared to books of class IV and V. Indicators Describe the usefulness of science and technology for society.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop learning materials for students' worksheets with a scientific approach to material force for fourth grade students. The research subjects were 22 students and one grade IV teacher at SDN 59 Bengkulu Tengah, while the research object was students' worksheets with a scientific approach. This study uses the ADDIE model development which is carried out to produce a learning product. These stages include analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. However, the development carried out is only up to the third stage (development). The instruments used were expert validation sheets, interview guides and practicality test questionnaires. The results showed that the learning materials for students' worksheets with the scientific approach developed were very feasible and practical to be used by fourth grade students and teachers in science learning, especially force material, muscle force sub material.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the process of creating an animated video and determine its feasibility based on the results of the validator's assessment and student responses using a scientific approach geared toward solving the problem of the Search, Solve, Create, Share model for class V students. Procedure research and development refers to the Borg and Gall development model, which has ten stages, but only seven are used by researchers, namely up to the use trial and then product revision if there are validator suggestions. The study's findings were based on the validator's assessment of the material aspect, which received an average score of 0.81, the language aspect, which received an average score of 0.83, and the media aspect, which received an average score of 0.80. The overall average of these three aspects yields a score of 0.81 in the very decent category, while the results of student responses yield an average score of 80.5 in the very good category. Based on the assessment results, it can be stated that the developed learning media in the form of animated videos is very feasible and suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

Based on the results of validator assessments and student responses to teaching materials on the relationship between living things in ecosystems in class V SD Negeri 35 Bengkulu Tengah, this study aims to develop CTL-based Natural Science teaching materials and determine their feasibility. The R&D procedure refers to the Borg and Gall development model, which has ten stages, but only six are used by the researchers, namely up to the use trial and then product revision based on input from the six validators. The study's findings were based on the validator's assessment of the material aspect, which received an average score of 0.86, the language aspect received an average score of 0.86, and the media aspect received an average score of 0.88. The overall average of these three aspects yields a score of 0.87 in the very feasible category, while the results of student responses to the product yield an average score of 80.62 in the very good category. Based on the assessment results, it is possible to conclude that the developed teaching materials in the form of CTL-based printed book are very feasible and suitable for use in the science learning process.
