Abstract

Adolescence is a period of self-discovery, typically ranging from ages 12 to 20. It is a transitional phase, meaning it does not entirely break with or change what happened before, but rather represents a shift from one stage. Adolescence is a time of change, where physical changes are closely linked to shifts in attitudes and behaviors. In general, changes during adolescence include an increased sense of ego, a growing sense of responsibility for oneself, and a heightened awareness of personal challenges. Adolescence can also be a problematic period, as teenagers, feeling independent, often try to solve their own problems. This study aims to explore the role of counselors in addressing deviant behavior among adolescents at the Balai Sentral Paramita Mataram. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative approach, involving in-depth interviews with counselors, social workers, and adolescents being mentor at Balai Sentra Paramita Mataram. The findings revealed five types of deviant behavior among the adolescents: theft, substance abuse, possession of sharp weapons, sexual assault, and other deviant behaviors. The study concludes that the role of community and Balai Sentral Paramita Mataram is crucial in helping to rehabilitate these adolescents. Since they cannot be prosecuted under the law, it is important to provide them with proper guidance so that they do not repeat their deviant actions. Some adolescents are sent to the Balai because their parents are unable to educate them properly, and the Balai serves as a place for character building and rehabilitation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work motivation on employee engagement with integrity as a mediating variable, as well as to examine its implications for the development of an anti-corruption culture among permanent employees of PT. KAI. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 224 permanent KAI employees. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the assistance of LISREL software. The results indicate that the structural model with integrity as a mediator meets the goodness-of-fit criteria. Work motivation does not have a direct effect on employee engagement, but it requires integrity as an ethical foundation. Furthermore, work motivation has a positive influence on integrity, which in turn strengthens employees’ attachment to their work. However, integrity alone does not have a direct impact on employee engagement and requires the support of motivational and organizational factors. These findings suggest that motivation without integrity may lead to opportunistic behavior. The combination of motivation and integrity fosters stronger, more productive, and ethically grounded employee engagement. Practically, this study highlights the importance of strengthening work motivation framed by integrity to build a sustainable anti-corruption culture within state-owned enterprises.

Interpersonal support plays an important role in meeting an individual's basic psychological needs, which include the need for autonomy, competence, and social relationships. This study aims to examine the relationship between interpersonal support for basic psychological needs and motivation, well-being, and performance through meta-analysis. Based on relevant research, this analysis identifies the influence of interpersonal support on each of these aspects, as well as how these relationships interact with each other. The results of the analysis show that adequate interpersonal support contributes significantly to increasing intrinsic motivation, improving psychological well-being, and encouraging increased individual performance in various contexts, both at work and in personal life. Social support that strengthens an individual's basic psychological needs, such as respect for autonomy, empowering competence, and maintaining positive relationships, has been proven to act as an important supporting factor for achieving optimal results in various fields. These findings provide new insights into how supportive social environments can strengthen a healthy psychological foundation, as well as provide recommendations for intervention practices aimed at improving individual well-being and performance, both in professional and personal contexts. Overall, this research highlights the important role of interpersonal support in supporting basic psychological needs and strengthening individual motivation, well-being and performance, as well as providing a basis for the development of policies and programs that are more effective in improving individuals' quality of life holistically.
