Abstract

The increasing demand for internet access in public service spaces, such as libraries, necessitates a reliable and efficient wireless network. This study aims to design a wireless network for the Pamekasan Regency Public Library to enhance user experience in accessing digital resources. The methodology includes a site survey, analysis of user needs, simulation of access point (AP) placement using Ekahau software, and evaluation based on signal strength, coverage, and user traffic. The study was conducted across three types of libraries: public, school, and campus libraries in Pamekasan. Each location was assessed for building structure, user density, and interference sources. The simulation results determined optimal AP placement, utilizing dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) access points to achieve minimum signal levels of -67 dBm and a Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) above 25 dB. The findings indicate that the proposed network design can provide stable, wide-ranging wireless access in all key service areas. This study concludes that effective network design, based on detailed site surveys and technical simulations, is crucial for supporting digital library services. The proposed design contributes to improving information access and is expected to serve as a reference for similar implementations in other public institutions.

Abstract

This research aims to compare two leading PHP frameworks, Laravel and Symfony, in the context of modern web application development. Using a Comparative Literature Study approach, this study analyses various relevant literature sources to evaluate the performance, ease of use, key features, security, as well as scalability and community support of each framework. Laravel is known for its simple and productive approach, making it popular among beginner to intermediate developers. Meanwhile, Symfony has a more complex and flexible architectural structure, which is often used in large-scale projects and enterprise systems. From the results of the study, it was found that Laravel is superior in terms of ease of use and the availability of extensive documentation, while Symfony shows more stable and flexible performance in large-scale applications. In terms of security, both frameworks provide protection features against common threats such as SQL Injection, CSRF, and XSS. Laravel has the upper hand in providing off-the-shelf solutions, while Symfony provides more advanced settings for experienced developers. Laravel's community support is also greater, making learning and development easier. This research provides an objective overview for developers in choosing a framework that suits the needs of the project, both from a technical and practical perspective.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the quality of internet network services at Yala Kopitiam Pamekasan in both indoor and outdoor areas using the Wireshark version 4.0.3 application. The main focus is on measuring several Quality of Service (QoS) parameters namely throughput, packet loss, delay, and jitter to evaluate the overall performance of the Wi-Fi network accessed by customers. The methodology used includes direct observation at the café, interviews with café management to understand user complaints and technical constraints, and literature review to strengthen theoretical foundations. The data collected was analyzed using the TIPHON (Telecommunications and Internet Protocol Harmonization Over Networks) standard, which classifies service quality based on quantified thresholds for each parameter. The results indicated that throughput was low in both outdoor (16 kbps) and indoor (32 kbps) areas, categorized as “Poor”. However, packet loss was minimal, at 0.049% for outdoor and 0.082% for indoor, both rated as “Excellent”. Delay varied between locations, with outdoor delay (1.883 ms) rated “Good” and indoor delay (152.88 ms) rated “Medium”. Jitter performance was also relatively stable, with values of 1.883 ms outdoors and 11.88 ms indoors, both classified as “Good”. Based on these measurements, the overall network service quality at Yala Kopitiam Pamekasan falls into the “Medium” category with an average QoS index of 2.5. The study concludes by recommending enhancements in bandwidth capacity and optimization of network device configurations to improve service reliability and customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The demand for adaptable, secure, and easily deployable network connectivity is increasing rapidly, driven by continuous advancements in information and communication technology. This is particularly evident in the rising adoption of cloud computing, remote work models, and the growing need for scalable and flexible virtual network infrastructures. ZeroTier emerges as an innovative solution that combines the key concepts of Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Software Defined Networking (SDN), and peer-to-peer architectures into a unified platform. This study aims to explore the operational mechanism, implementation procedure, and real-world performance of ZeroTier in enabling seamless connections between devices located across different networks and physical locations. The research methodology includes a comprehensive literature review and practical testing by creating a virtual network using ZeroTier. The evaluation focuses on connection setup, security, ease of configuration, and performance under different network scenarios. The findings reveal that ZeroTier offers a reliable, secure, and efficient virtual networking environment, capable of delivering stable communication with minimal configuration effort. Additionally, it does not require complex infrastructure or technical expertise, making it suitable for academic research, remote work environments, and small to medium-sized businesses. The results suggest that ZeroTier can be considered a viable alternative to traditional VPN solutions and physical network setups, especially in contexts that demand agility, security, and simplicity.

Abstract

Modern web development is undergoing a paradigm shift marked by the increasing adoption of API-based architectures that decouple frontend and backend responsibilities. This separation enables the development of modular, scalable, and maintainable applications, particularly through the combination of Laravel and React. This study aims to explore current trends and best practices in API-driven web application development by conducting a systematic literature review of academic publications and technical documentation published between 2022 and 2024. Laravel, a robust PHP backend framework, provides a powerful foundation for implementing RESTful APIs, while React, a declarative JavaScript library, enhances user interface responsiveness through efficient state management and component-based architecture. The review identifies several best practices: implementing RESTful principles, leveraging React's useContext and Redux for state handling, and maintaining well-structured and versioned API documentation using tools like Swagger. Integration between the two technologies offers high flexibility but presents technical challenges such as handling secure authentication (e.g., using Laravel Sanctum or Passport), managing asynchronous data flow, and configuring Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) policies correctly. Furthermore, emerging trends such as headless CMS, Single Page Applications (SPA), Server-Side Rendering (SSR), and microservices architecture have gained traction in enhancing performance, SEO, and development scalability. These trends reflect a broader movement toward decoupled and distributed systems. By synthesizing these findings, this study provides strategic insights for developers, educators, and researchers to better navigate the evolving landscape of web application development using Laravel and React in an API-centric ecosystem.

Abstract

Web application performance significantly impacts digital services in sectors like e-commerce, education, and healthcare, where poor response time (>100 ms) can reduce user satisfaction by up to 20% and cause revenue losses. Despite numerous studies on PHP frameworks, comprehensive comparisons integrating optimization techniques remain limited. This research empirically evaluates the performance of Laravel, CodeIgniter, and Symfony, focusing on response time, throughput, and error rate before and after applying optimization techniques. Load and stress testing was conducted using Apache JMeter, Xdebug, and New Relic on a student management system with a MySQL database (10,000 records), simulating realistic scenarios from 1 to 100 users, mimicking e-commerce or educational platforms. Optimization techniques included caching (e.g., route caching in Laravel, query caching in CodeIgniter), database optimization (indexing, eager loading), and code refactoring. Results revealed CodeIgniter achieved the lowest response time (16.49 ms, 41.4% reduction) and highest throughput, ideal for lightweight applications like news portals. Laravel showed the greatest improvement under high load (35.1% reduction, from 118.34 ms to 76.80 ms), suitable for e-commerce platforms. Symfony demonstrated stable performance (20.0%–25.0% reduction), fitting enterprise applications with complex APIs. This study provides practical guidance for developers in selecting PHP frameworks based on project requirements and offers optimization recommendations to enhance web application efficiency and scalability.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and compare the technical performance of three of the most widely used modern frontend frameworks, namely Svelte, React, and Vue. These frameworks are popular among developers for building responsive, efficient, and maintainable user interfaces. Using a systematic and controlled experimental approach, we developed identical simple web applications on each of the three frameworks to ensure fairness in comparison. The evaluation focused on four key performance metrics: rendering time, bundle size, memory usage during idle, and DOM operation efficiency. The experiments were conducted using a desktop computer equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor, 32 GB of RAM, and the Firefox browser running on the Ubuntu 22.04 LTS operating system. The results revealed that Svelte consistently outperformed React and Vue in all measured aspects. It achieved the fastest rendering time at 110 milliseconds, the smallest bundle size of 22 KB, the lowest idle memory usage at 7.8 MB, and the most efficient DOM operation with only one operation per action. React and Vue, although still considered performant, showed slower rendering times of 170 ms and 140 ms, respectively, along with larger bundle sizes and higher memory usage. Svelte’s superior performance is largely due to its compiler-based architecture, which transforms components into highly optimized vanilla JavaScript without relying on a virtual DOM or heavy runtime. This study provides valuable insights for developers and decision-makers in selecting the most technically efficient frontend framework for high-performance web applications.

Abstract

Computer network security plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data in the modern digital era. One of the primary tools used to safeguard networks from unauthorized access and external threats is the firewall. This paper explores the significance of firewalls in protecting network systems by examining their functions, various types, and capability to regulate data traffic. Firewalls work by enforcing specific rules to limit access, effectively reducing the risk of cyber threats such as malware, hacking attempts, and unauthorized intrusions. The study also involves practical observation of firewall implementation in a real network setup to evaluate their efficiency in mitigating security risks. Findings indicate that properly configured firewalls can considerably strengthen a network’s defense. Nevertheless, relying solely on firewalls is insufficient. They should be supported by additional security technologies and best practices to achieve comprehensive network protection. In conclusion, firewalls are essential elements in upholding the reliability and safety of computer networks.

Abstract

Large computer networks are now needed to help institutions, businesses, and governments do their work in today's complex and connected digital world. At the same time, the growth of very large and important data sets brings new problems for keeping data safe and quickly getting it back when needed. This research aims to carefully study security plans and data recovery methods that can be used well with large computer networks. This research looks at scientific papers, information technology articles, and related research reports from the last ten years. The main things to do are to use firewalls in layers, use encryption methods like AES and RSA, and use systems to find and block malware by looking at its signatures and actions. We also need to make the physical security of network devices stronger, automatically manage updates, and set up regular data backups along with a plan for recovering from disasters (DRP). The study's results show that a complete security and recovery system that combines different parts can greatly improve how well the system can handle different threats, whether they are technical or not. Working together to prevent cyberattacks and being ready to recover data is very important for keeping information technology services running smoothly. This research gives key suggestions on how to build a network that is not only secure and works well but can also quickly recover if there is an emergency or system problem.

Abstract

 New Learner Admission (PPDB) is one of the processes of accepting students at every school level, starting from PAUD, kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, to high school / vocational school. This term is used by various school bodies when they want to accept new students. Often these institutions experience problems in managing the administration of new participants, one of which is SMAN 1 Pademawu. The obstacles that occur include the buildup of queues of participants who register at the institution and constraints in inputting new participant data due to the limited number of PPDB organizing committee members. Therefore, this research will create a PPDB information system to overcome the obstacles experienced by the institution. The information system created is in the form of flow chart design, ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram), UML (Unified Modeling Language) and DFD (Data Flow Diagram). Using Javascript programming language, React Js framework and bootstrap. The result of this research is the construction of PPDB information system at SMAN 1 Pademawu by using waterfall method. With this system, it is expected to facilitate the PPDB committee of SMAN 1 Pademawu in managing or inputting data and reducing the buildup of registration queues effectively and efficiently.
