Abstract

This study examines strategies for enhancing digital literacy to support the development of Sibetan Tourism Village as a smart village in Karangasem Regency. The trend of increasing tourism villages is now accompanied by the development of digital villages as a national priority program. Smart villages aim to improve the quality of life for communities through digital literacy and technology. Although Sibetan Tourism Village has natural, cultural, and creative economic potential, the optimization of technology and digitalization has not yet been achieved. Using digital marketing theory, the concept of digital literacy, the smart village concept, and the tourism village concept, this study aims to formulate strategies and programs to enhance digital literacy in Sibetan Tourism Village. This research uses observation, interviews, and focus group discussions, and is analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods, IFE, EFE, and SWOT. The results show that based on the IFE matrix, the internal factor that is the main strength of Sibetan Tourism Village is infrastructure and internet network with a score of 0.37. The main weakness is the absence of digital-based innovation in the development of Sibetan Tourism Village with a score of 0.05. Based on the EFE matrix, the external factor that is the main opportunity for Sibetan Tourism Village is the development of alternative or sustainable tourism with a score of 0.42. The main threat to Sibetan Tourism Village is dependence on digital technology with a score of 0.06. The main strategies based on the IE matrix that can be implemented in Sibetan Tourism Village are market penetration strategies and product development strategies. From the SWOT matrix analysis, eight strategies were obtained with programs formulated for each strategy.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of coastal tourism activities on the environment and socio-culture in the Berawa Beach Coastal Area, Canggu. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Researcher conducted in-depth interviews with the following sources: Tibubeneng Village, represented by the Head of the Welfare Section, Community Empowerment Institutions, business owners, art shop owners and cafe owners, three local communities and one person who works in the Berawa Coastal Area. This research examines in more depth the impact of coastal tourism activities on the environment and socio-culture. Apart from interviews, researcher made observations and studies from news, articles and journals of previous research. After conducting in-depth interviews with resource people, researche found that there were negative and positive impacts on the environment and socio-culture due to coastal tourism activities in the Berawa Coastal Coastal Area. From the impacts felt by the interviewees, the negative impacts were more significantly felt on the environment due to land conversion and poor waste management. Meanwhile, significant negative socio-cultural impacts are felt, namely the occurrence of traffic jams and crime.

Abstract

This study looks at the tourism development in Bali's Munduk Tourism Village and emphasizes the value of community involvement. In Indonesia, tourism is a key driver of economic growth and the government is concentrating on sustainable tourism development to guarantee long-term gains. Munduk Village, which provides a comprehensive view of the surrounding landscape and culture, received recognition as an independent tourism attraction in 2014 and the Indonesian Tourism Village Award in 2022. Through community involvement in management and environmental conservation, this village promotes a tourism. Observation, interviews, and literature reviews were used in conjunction with a qualitative descriptive method to perform this study from December 2023 to April 2024. Munduk Village has experienced a number of phases in the tourism area's life cycle, from discovery to local communities' involvement in tourism development, according to the study's findings. The village government, customary government, Village Tourism Development Agency, tourism awareness group, and other local organizations all play a part in the local community's involvement. In addition to actively participating in the development, management, and promotion of tourism, local communities also profit monetarily from it. In conclusion, all forms of local community participation have a big contribution to the development of the tourism sector in Munduk Tourism Village.

Abstract

Tourism village provides various benefits, from reducing urbanization to improving the living standards of local communities. However, developing tourism village is challenging because it follows the character of village that experience slow growth. Research focusing on the pentahelix collaboration strategy to developing tourism village.This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and literature studies. Informants were determined through purposive sampling involving pentahelix actors. The instruments research such as interview guidelines, cameras, and recording devices. Data is analyzed using NVivo software and SWOT analysis to produce a pentahelix collaboration strategy for the development of tourism village.This research concludes three points: first, the quality and active participation of the community are the main obstacles, so the village government builds networks, comparative studies and increases local community participation as a solution to these obstacles. Second, the roles of other pentahelix actors such as the government, academics, business, and media are not optimal. Third, Lodtunduh Tourism Village utilizes its natural, cultural, and artificial potentials, as well as its location as an entry point to Ubud, to develop strategies using SWOT analysis. This analysis resulted in 12 strategies focusing on human resource strengthening, promotion, creation of tour packages, expanding networks, utilizing digital platforms, and strengthening regulations.Based on the research results, several suggestions can be considered for the development of tourism village, including the intensive implementation of local human resource capacity building, considering that the community is the spearhead in the development of tourism village. It is also important to create a communication network forum that can be easily accessed by tourism village managers.
