Abstract

Tegangan listrik yang disuplai ke rumah hunian sering kali berfluktuasi. Jatuh tegangan yang terjadi dapat menyebabkan besarnya tegangan yang diterima oleh konsumen tidak sebanding dengan nilai tegangan yang dikirim. Ketidaksesuaian tegangan suplai terhadap tegangan ratingnya akan berdampak pada kinerja suatu peralatan listrik, seperti pengkondisi udara (AC). Untuk memperoleh performa terbaiknya maka dilakukan kaji eksperimental terkait pengaruh perubahan tegangan suplai terhadap performansi AC Split yang berkapasitas pendinginan 1 PK dengan 8 variasi perubahan tegangan. Besarnya tegangan yang disuplai dalam pengoperasian AC diatur mulai dari 240 V ke 170 V, dengan penurunan sebesar 10 V menggunakan AC Power Source. Pengujian ini dilakukan di dalam psychrometric chamber yang dirancang sesuai standar ISO 5151 pada TDB,indoor side = 27⁰C, TWB,indoor side = 19⁰C, TDB,outdoor side = 35⁰C serta TWB,outdoor side = 24⁰C. Hasil dari pengujian ini didapatkan bahwa sistem bertegangan 220 V menghasilkan nilai EER paling optimum yakni sebesar 11,26 (Btu/hr)/W, sistem bertegangan 240 V mengalami penurunan hingga mencapai 10,96 (Btu/hr)/W sedangkan sistem bertegangan rendah 170 V memberikan pengaruh besar terhadap penurunan performansi hingga 7,6% yang hanya mencapai 10,38 (Btu/hr)/W.

Abstract

Abstract Purpose - This research aims to determine the influence of work involvement and work-life balance on employee performance at PT. KB Financia Multi Finance Palopo Branch. The research method used was multiple linear regression using 58 employees of PT. KB Financia Multi Finance Palopo Branch as a sample. Design/methodology/approach - This quantitative study uses associativity or relationships between variables. The goal is to find out how three or more variables relate to each other. This research was conducted at PT. KB Financia Multi Finance Palopo Branch, with 58 employees as samples. The sampling method is purposive. The data analysis technique in this research begins by conducting instrument tests, namely validity and reliability tes. Finding - The results of this research show that the work engagement variable is significant on employee performance. The work-life balance variable is positive and significant on employee performance at PT. KB Financia Multi Finance Palopo Branch. Work engagement and work-life balance simultaneously influence the performance of PT employees. KB Financia Multi Finance Palopo Branch. Originality - The research results show that employee performance is significantly influenced by work-life balance. Lockwood's work-life balance theory describes work-life balance as when a person can organize and divide his responsibilities between work, family life, and other responsibilities so that there is no conflict between family life and work.

Abstract

This study explores the phenomenon of couples who marry at different ages with the aim of knowing how the communication behavior of husband and wife in the Mandailing culture in marriages with a large age difference in the Mandailing culture. There are many differences in marriage with a large age difference between husband and wife which tends to make it difficult for couples to unite thoughts, ideas and opinions. This will be a challenge for the household so that it can make a household that is sakinah, mawaddah, warahmah. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative research type. Source of data obtained from primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques were used through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation with three husband and wife couples with a much older age difference than their husbands with a distance of five years, seven years and ten years. The results of research conducted in Sopoonggang Baru Hamlet show that different age marriages are much older for wives than husbands, but there are problems that often occur in domestic life, including: difficult to control emotions, relationships decreased sexual relations between husband and wife, jealousy, differences in perspectives and economic problems. To solve problems that occur in marriages of different ages, the following methods are used by informants to solve problems in the household, namely: discussing and ignoring each other. There are several things that couples with different ages do in building household harmony including being honest, being open to each other, trusting each other and staying closer to Allah SWT.

Abstract

Vocabulary mastery plays a crucial role in English language proficiency, yet many students still face challenges in acquiring and using new vocabulary effectively. With the increasing use of digital platforms, Spotify has become a familiar application for listening to English songs, offering potential as a learning medium. The purpose of this study is to investigate the correlation between students’ Spotify English songs listening habit and mastery of vocabulary at 2023 academic year of English educational study program at UNP. This research employed a quantitative with correlational design. The researcher was use questionnaire and Vocabulary Test Level (VLT) as the instruments of this research. The participants of this research were 37 students which were chosen using purposive sampling. The result findings indicated that the average level of listening habit was high (M = 80.97) and vocabulary mastery was categorized as very good (M = 81.86). However, the Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis indicated a weak and statically non-significant negative correlation (r = -0.220, p > 0.05) between the variable X and variable Y. In conclusion, this research found there is no significant correlation between students’ Spotify English songs listening habit and mastery of vocabulary.
