Abstract

Dance is a form of performing art that involves human body movements that are choreographed to convey certain expressions, stories, feelings or messages to the audience. Dance learning is an educational process that aims to teach students about dance, both traditional dance and modern dance. The implementation method consists of several stages, namely the observation and coordination stage of implementation, determination of themes and types of activities, training and documentation stages. The location of this research is SDN 2 Padi located in Watulumbung Hamlet, Padi Village, Tulakan District, Pacitan Regency. Dance learning is an educational process that aims to teach students about dance, both traditional dance and modern dance. The implementation method consists of several stages, namely the observation and coordination stage of implementation, determination of themes and types of activities, training and documentation stages. The location of this research is SDN 2 Padi located in Watulumbung Hamlet, Padi Village, Tulakan District, Pacitan Regency. Dance learning will be held from September 21 to October 23, 2023 with 2-3 meetings a week. There were 17 dance learning participants consisting of 15 women and 2 men from classes IV, V and VI. The results of dance learning include students gaining experience, being able to improve students' skills, fostering self-confidence, and being able to channel their interests and talents in the arts, especially dance

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe culture-based education, implementation strategies for culture-based education, components of culture-based learning, constraints and solutions in the implementation of culture-based education. The method used in research is literature review contains a brief overview of a research topic and is organized chronologically and thematically. The results of this study are: 1) Culture-based education to instill cultural values in a child; 2) Strategies in culture-based education are carried out through culture-based learning, integration of learning themes, learning support activities, school culture; 3) the culture-based learning component consists of substance (material) and competence or fields of science, meaningfulness and learning process, assessment of learning outcomes, and the role of culture; 4) Obstacles in implementing it, namely lack of teaching media, teachers find it difficult to find local culture in the environment around the school, teachers have difficulty in integrating culture with the material to be taught, teachers have not been creative to develop learning media or teaching materials.
