Abstract

Bandwidth capacity management is one of the important aspects in computer network management, especially in the context of local government agencies that rely on online services. Adequate bandwidth capacity is required to provide unhindered public services, provide quick access to information that supports decision-making, and adapt to dynamic growth. This study aims to optimize network access capacity at the North Sumatra Governor's Office by identifying ways to improve the efficiency of bandwidth capacity usage in supporting government communication services. This research uses a mikrotik approach to regulate data traffic paths and optimize the use of network resources. The results showed that proper bandwidth management can increase network access speed and reduce data traffic congestion. This has a positive impact on the quality of government communication services, such as the ease and speed of information exchange between agencies in North Sumatra and between the North Sumatra Governor's Office and the Central Government.

Abstract

In the ever-evolving digital age, information technology has become a key component in various aspects of life, including the education sector. One technology that shows great potential is chatbot, a computer program designed to simulate human conversation. This research aims to develop a simple chatbot that can provide academic information to the community, using the Python programming language and the Flask framework. This chatbot utilizes Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology to understand and respond to user questions. The results show that the chatbot developed by Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara (UINSU) can improve accessibility and efficiency in the dissemination of academic information. With further improvements in language understanding capabilities and integration with more comprehensive academic databases, this chatbot has the potential to become a very useful tool in the academic environment. This research makes an important contribution in utilizing digital technology to improve educational services and user experience in accessing academic information.
