The ability to communicate with children is a teacher competency that can support the learning process. Good teacher communication will support the achievement of children's development to be more optimal. This article aims to determine the role of teachers in developing children's responsibility through effective, empathic, and polite communication. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subject of this research is 19 children, class teachers, and accompanying teachers at An-Nur II Kindergarten. Data analysis technique in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Effective communication is seen through an energetic speaking style and supportive body movements. Empathetic and polite communication is seen through responsiveness to children, the use of positive language and a friendly tone, giving appreciation without blaming, and aligning the body when communicating with children. This kind of communication can develop children's responsible behavior. Children are able to follow the teacher's directions, share food, obey the teacher, and listen to the teacher. However, the seating position of children with a group model, the use of mixed language, and the use of media without children exploring it are inhibiting factors in effective communication.

Abstract

Structured curriculum evaluation is part of advancing education in a country. Because of its efforts, it can improve the curriculum in the development stage as well as those that have been implemented. Thus making education in the country more prepared in the future. The purpose of this study is to determine the readiness of the implementation of a kurikulum merdeka in terms of context, input, process, and obstacles in its implementation. The method used is a qualitative method with research subjects in the form of teachers and students. Data collection techniques through curriculum documents, photos of activities, and questionnaire data of TK Plus An-Nur Peterongan. Analysis techniques by sorting data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research from the aspects of context, input, and process show that TK Plus An-Nur Peterongan is overall ready to implement a kurikulum merdeka with an independent category of change. This is evidenced by the results of the analysis of school needs to achieve educational goals, locally charged learning activities, strengthening the Pancasila student profile project, literacy, STEAM, ethical values, and identity through the intracurricular and extracurricular learning process and cooperation with the community environment. The obstacles to the implementation of the kurikulum merdeka found in the evaluation of the CIPP model seen from the input aspect are the quality of teachers who are not from the Kindergarten department and learning resources or media that are not fulfilled for the introduction of numerical literacy. This research contributes in the form of understanding and advice to teachers that evaluating the curriculum used by schools with the CIPP model can determine the readiness of the school or an obstacle in implementing the curriculum.

Abstract

Computational thinking skills based on unplugged activity by collecting algorithmic tasks have recently become a concern. Various activities can be a way to stimulate these abilities. Fun cooking is one alternative that can be used for preschool children. This study aims to describe how fun cooking activities can stimulate computational thinking skills that have been widely applied by early childhood education institutions. The research sample of 18 children was aimed at students of Angkasa Lanud Adisucipto Kindergarten, Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques used interviews, documentation and direct observation. The results of the study showed that there were several algorithmic tasks that were understood by the research sample when carrying out fun cooking activities; 1) students orderly listened to the teacher's explanation regarding the activity process to be carried out, 2) students knew the flow of activities to be carried out, 3) some cooking activities required repeated processes. The results of the study showed that fun cooking activities indirectly collected algorithmic tasks in the problem-solving process through the activity process that was passed.
