Abstract

Management is an important aspect needed by a working unit or even in carrying out activities. Therefore, one of the research studies conducted is the analysis of the implementation of management functions in the information unit to improve services at Ngurah Rai International Airport Bali. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of management functions carried out by the information unit to improve the services provided. This research also aims to identify the obstacles and solutions implemented by the information unit when providing services. This research uses qualitative research methods, conducted in June 2023, located at Ngurah Rai International Airport Bali. Data collection techniques were done through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data validity was tested using the triangulation of techniques and sources. The data analysis techniques used were data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the Information Unit has implemented management functions such as planning, organizing, directing, and controlling to enhance the provided services. However, based on service indicator measurements, there were deficiencies found in the responsiveness and empathy indicators, which are the result of poor organizing function performed by the Information Unit. Service constraints were also identified, such as FIDS error, SIOPSKOM Inalix system downtime, miscommunication between information officers and airline staff, and insufficient number of information unit personnel, which hindered optimal service delivery. The Information Unit's solution is to contact the relevant working units regarding the damages, make manual announcements if necessary, double check the requests from airline staff, and have supervisors assist if the information unit personnel become overwhelmed.

Abstract

The apron movement contro (AMC) crew has the task of operating or using a aviobridge for passanger comfort and safety, as aviobridge provides more protection from the heat, raim, jet blast of airplane engine, noise and dust. In other words aviobridge is o important in supporting flight activities that it is hoped that the use of aviobridge will be done well. . The purpose of this study is to learn how aviobridge procedures and what obstacles aviobridge’s operator faced and how the solution might be. This study uses a qualitative method using primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques of observation, interview, and documentation. The time and place of the study began on November 01, 2022 – November 28, 2022, as suggested by the apron movement control unit in The Internasional Airport Supadio Pontianak, West Kalimantan. The analysis techniques used are the reduction of data, the presentation of data, and the drawing of conclusions. The validity test of data on this study employed technical triangulation method and triangulation of data sources. The results of this study have shown that the use of aviobridge follows by the standard operating procedure (SOP) to create safety and occupational health (K3). Studies also found at the time if aviobridge operation include the lack of human resources, the lack of aviobridge facilities, and the problem with aviobridge itself. The solution to this problem is to increase human resources, to add to aviobridge, and to continue to care for aviobridge..

Abstract

Airline officers who handle the transportation or service of passengers both at departure and arrival are called pasasi officers. Passation officers must recognize and understand the feelings of others in the work environment which is influenced by emotional intelligence when interacting with passengers. Passation officers' knowledge and abilities indicate the level of intellectual intelligence that affects performance. This study aims to determine how intellectual and emotional intelligence impact the performance of PT Gapura Angkasa's passation officers at Juanda International Airport Surabaya. This research was conducted at Juanda International Airport Surabaya in August to September 2024. Researchers used quantitative methods with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires distributed to 75 research respondents, Literature Study, Observation and Documentation. The data analysis is in the form of Validity Test, Reliability Test, Multiple Linear Regression Analysis Test, T Test (Partial), F Test (Simultaneous) and Determination Coefficient Test (R2). The results showed that the intellectual intelligence variable had a positive and significant effect partially at 0.009 <0.05 and the emotional intelligence variable at 0.000 <0.05 and simultaneously 0.000 <0.05. The coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.656 shows the ability of the independent variable (coordination) to explain the dependent variable by 65.6%.

Abstract

This research was carried out to indentify the problems and their optimization efforts by the Apron Movement Control unit in order to create safety, security and compliance with applicable flight regulations. This research is a qualitative method that was carried out in August-September 2022 at Depati Amir Bangka Airport using primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through observation and interviews, while secondary data was data taken from document, such as SOP. To check the validity of the data, researcher used triangulation technique. The results of this study state that there are still obstacles to the Apron Movement Control unit, such as the limited number of personnel, the Follow Me Car which exceeds the lifetime limit, the resolution of the Apron CCTV camera which is still low and has not been digitized, and violations by people/workers in the airside, which can affect the performance of Apron Movement Control in the supervision and control of people and vehicles on the airside. The optimization is in the form of adding Apron Movement Control personnel, plan to digitize CCTV, plan to update the Follow Me Car and Test the Vehicle Worthiness and GSE Equipment, as well as providing counseling to people/workers on the airside.

Abstract

The increasingly rapid aviation industry demands the world of work to have quality human resources, the demand for higher performance requires a workforce with academic qualifications and employability to be said to be feasible. The College of Aerospace Technology provides a field work practice program where cadets will face challenges and various obstacles in the new work environment, therefore employability skills are needed that can affect the performance given during the field work practice period. This study aims to analyze the influence of employability skills on the performance of cadets in field work practice, as well as to identify how much influence employability skills have on the performance of cadets in field work practices. This study uses a quantitative method, the research was conducted at Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Kedirgantaraan as the location for sampling students os the D4 Air Transport Management study program, and the research was carried out from September to May 2025 with the number of cadets of the D4 Air Transportation Management of the College of Aerospace Technology as many as 188 cadets. The data collection technique in this study used questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used normality tests, simple linear regression tests, T tests and determination efficiency tests. The results of the study showed that there was a significant influence of employability skills on the performance of cadets practicing field work, with a score of Thitung > Ttabel (18,671 > 1,973) and an Rsquare value of 65.2% so that it can be said that Ha was accepted. Suggestions for future researchers are expected to develop this study by adding other variables related to cadets' performance during fieldwork practices by expanding the population coverage.

Abstract

At Yogyakarta International Airport there is one unit, namely the Lost And Found unit where in this unit there are problems handled by Lost And Found officers, namely complaints about lost baggage at the previous station during Malaysia Airline flights when they arrive at the destination airport to pick up their baggage. This study aims to determine how Lost And Found officers deal with lost baggage, find out the obstacles faced by Lost And Found officers in dealing with lost baggage, and to find out the efforts made by officers to handle complaints from passengers. This study uses a qualitative method, where this study is descriptive and uses analysis by paying attention to inductive analysis. This study was conducted for four months from January to April 2025 at the Lost And Found Unit of PT Jasa Angkasa Semesta Maskapai Malaysia Airline at Yogyakarta International Airport. The data used in this study were in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation which were then supported by valid evidence, so that later they could be declared credible. The results of this study are the services of Lost And Found officers in handling lost baggage by officers making PIRs for passengers who lose their baggage, if the baggage is not found within 14 days, the officer can provide compensation in accordance with applicable regulations. The obstacles faced by Lost And Found officers in dealing with lost baggage are the limitations of human resources and language faced by officers. Efforts made by officers in handling complaints from passengers are that Lost And Found officers provide clear and precise information to passengers regarding the steps in handling baggage.
