Abstract

This research implements an Android-based mobile application for real-time student learning reports at IDN Jonggol Middle School, West Java, which can provide information about real-time student learning reports at IDN Jonggol Middle School using an Android-based mobile application. This research was conducted because many parents of IDN Middle School students wanted to see their children's development directly. This research aims to implement an Android-based application to help parents of students at IDN Middle School monitor their children's learning progress in real time by applying technology that is currently developing and making it easier for parents to access information about their children's development anywhere and anytime. This qualitative research method aims to create a system and display the information presented in the application being created. To obtain data relating to student learning progress, we could access the data in spreadsheet form. With the Android application in this research, parents can access information about their child's learning progress directly anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

This research discusses the application of data mining using the C4.5 algorithm for early detection of student victims of bullying at IDN Jonggol Junior High School. The problem studied is how to identify students who are victims of bullying quickly and accurately using the available data analysis. The expected solution is the development of an early detection system that can provide early warning to the school so that intervention can be done earlier. The object of the study was IDN Jonggol Junior High School students. The method used involves collecting demographic data, behavior records, and bullying reports, which are then analyzed using the C4.5 Algorithm. The results showed that the C4.5 algorithm was able to classify student victims of bullying with an accuracy of 78.6%. Preliminary conclusions show that the C4.5 Algorithm has great potential to be used in the early detection of bullying. The implication of this research is the improvement of student safety and well-being through faster and more appropriate intervention. Recommendations from this research are further development of the detection system and its application in other schools

Abstract

This study aims to explore strategies and techniques to overcome verbal communication barriers in an academic context, particularly between lecturers and students during the completion of final projects at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UIN-SU). Using interactive communication theory and uncertainty reduction theory, this research provides a framework for understanding and addressing these barriers. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, direct observation, and related document studies. Data were analyzed using content analysis to identify patterns and trends in verbal communication. Triangulation, peer debriefing, and external checks were used to ensure data validity. The research results indicate that the communication model implemented by lecturers greatly influences the effectiveness of guidance and the quality of students' final projects. Communication barriers are often caused by misunderstandings in written communication and differences in expectations. Proposed solutions include effective communication training for lecturers, the use of written communication guidelines, and regular group and individual guidance sessions. The integration of communication technology such as e-learning platforms and online collaboration tools is also suggested to enhance the communication process. By understanding the dynamics of verbal communication and overcoming existing barriers, this research aims to improve the quality of academic guidance and student outcomes, as well as prepare them for communication challenges in the professional world. This study is relevant not only in the academic context but also has broad practical implications.
