Salah satu kebiasaan masyarakat petani setelah panen ialah melakukan pembakaran terhadap sisa-sisa tanaman. Hal ini tentu dapat mengganggu kestabilan lingkungan hidup dan akan berdampak negatif bagi kehidupan manusia. Pada sisi lain, lahan pekarangan dibiarkan menganggur padahal lahan ini dapat dimanfaatkan untuk bercocok tanam. Fenomena ini juga berlaku di Desa Bola Bulu, Kecamatan Pitu Riase, Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang. Atas dasar hal itu, maka diadakanlah kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat, sebagai bentuk implementasi program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Mandiri. Pengabdian ini memperkenalkan sistem pertanian permakultur dengan tujuan agar masyarakat Desa Bola Bulu dapat mengelola lingkungan, termasuk lingkungan pekarangan dengan tetap memperhatikan aspek keberlanjutan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan cara saling berbagi pengalaman dan berdiskusi dengan melibatkan berbagai unsur masyarakat dan aparat desa. Hasilnya, para peserta menyambut antusias kegiatan ini, dan membuka wawasan mereka akan kelebihan sistem permakultur yang ekonomis dan ramah terhadap lingkungan. Mereka menyadari bahwa ternyata perilaku membakar sisa-sisa tanaman dapat berdampak buruk bagi keberlangsungan kehidupan manusia, hewan, dan tumbuhan.

For a democratic country like Indonesia, general elections are an arena for citizens to express their political aspirations in the context of national leadership succession which takes place once every five years. General elections are very important for the upholding of democracy. Despite this, there are still citizens who do not exercise their constitutional rights. Therefore, to increase community participation, especially from young voters, this service activity was carried out, by using the GPIB Bukit Zaitun Youth Movement as a partner. The method used is socialization in the form of lectures and discussions. The results of the service received an enthusiastic welcome from the participants and they were committed to exercising their political rights in the upcoming 2024 elections.

Financial literacy is still the homework of all parties, including financial institutions and authorities. Seeing the scope of financial literacy, namely regarding the understanding of features, benefits, risks, and obligations related to financial products and services, efforts to increase public understanding still need to be socialized. Moreover, financial literacy also measures the correct level of skills, attitudes, and behavior in using financial products and services. Looking at various cases, financial institutions and authorities are still inferior to the ways in which financial criminals offer their services to the public. Efforts to improve financial literacy are also the responsibility of academics from universities. On that basis, this community service activity which is part of the Independent Learning Campus program (MBKM) was carried out for the people of Bola Bulu Village. The method used is empowerment and capacity building through several stages, namely engagement, assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The results of the program show that this activity was enthusiastically participated in by the community and was considered very beneficial for them because it has given them a clear understanding to be wise and careful in conducting financial transactions online, be it in the form of arisan or fraudulent investments, online shopping, and loans.

ABSTRACT Cinema Appreciator Makassar is a community that was formed because of the common interest in film appreciation. The activities that are usually carried out by the community are conducting film screenings and actively participating in creative spaces or activities in Makassar City. The context of cinema in the Makasar Cinema Appreciator room is a film that is not screened in theaters and tends to have educative themes. This community is characterized as alternative cinema, film and photography, as well as literacy and creativity. In maintaining its existence, Cinema Appreciator Makassar seeks to carry out community activities in a sustainable manner. Cinema Appreciator Makassar is a small space that represents the face of the city's ever-evolving lifestyle. Members generally use this space as their way of having entertainment, fun, and experiences. The lifestyle of urban communities is always transformed based on references and perceptions. Generally they assume that the lifestyle they do is a necessity to always share and learn.

The The existence of cafes in Makassar City has been able to drive the economy of micro, small and medium enterprises and become a hangout place for young people. This study attempts to explore the meaning of young people regarding hanging out at C6-Coffee and the relationship between hanging out as a social practice in a third place. The study uses a qualitative method, namely data collection is carried out by means of observation and interviews, then the data is analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that hanging out at cafes is interpreted positively by young people because it is used as an arena for self-actualization and developing human resource capacity. Hanging out at cafes for young people is a social practice that utilizes the third space after home and campus. The meaning of young people towards cafes as a third space has spurred them to do positive things such as studying, strengthening social solidarity, and developing networks that can be constructed as part of cultural capital.

This study aims to elaborate on the ethics of ecocentrism that are intertwined with Pancasila in the farming community in Bila Riase Village in realizing food security. This study uses a qualitative research method, where data is obtained through observation and interviews. The data is then analyzed through three stages, namely data processing, data organization, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the values of Pancasila are constructed by the farming community in Bila Riase Village through the ethics of ecocentrism that places the environment as a responsibility to be managed together in realizing sustainable food security. Food security as a mandate of Pancasila echoed by the central government is followed up by the farming community in Bila Riase Village together with village government officials to utilize the surrounding nature, especially rice fields to be managed based on the principles of mutual cooperation.

Manusia moderen ditandai dengan ciri-ciri perencanaan dan strategi dalam kehidupannya. Kemampuan akal yang diasah oleh pengembangan ilmu-ilmu empiris menjadi elemen yang sangat penting dalam pembinaan budaya. Dengan menggunakan istilah strategi, pembahasan akan kebudayaan menjadi sangat terapan. Semua ini perlu jelas dalam kajian dan perbincangan mengenai strategi dalam pembinaan kebudayan daerah, termasuk dalam bidang kebahasaan agar bisa memiliki peran dalam pengembangan kebudayaan nasional. Dalam disiplin sosiolinguistik ada empat kriteria yang dijadikan alat ukur untuk menilai apakah sebuah bahasa termasuk dalam kategori standar atau tidak. Karen bahasa adalah bagian dari budaya, kriteria ini akan diaplikasikan dalam menelaah dan menilai eksistensi budaya Sulawesi Selatan. Fakta-fakta yang mendukung dalam kriteria yang keseluruhannya positif, akan coba diancangkan dalam usaha mengembangkan strategi pembinaan dan pengembangan budaya Sulawesi Selatan.

This research aims to elucidate the enthusiasm of the youth of GPIB Bukit Zaitun in participating in creative worship. This research uses qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach. Data collection was conducted through participatory observation by directly engaging in the creative worship activities held at GPIB Bukit Zaitun. The results of these observations were then reinforced by conducting interviews with 2 pastors, 3 church council members, and 9 youths involved in the creative worship activities. The data that has been collected was then analyzed, interpreted, verified, and subsequently concluded. The research results show that the Bukit Zaitun church council provides support to the youth in creative worship activities. The goal is for GPIB Bukit Zaitun to be responsible for producing youth who are ready to carry out the Christian mission in supporting national development.There are eight factors that support the youth's enthusiasm in participating in creative worship, namely: the work of the Holy Spirit, service oriented towards gifts, prayer, praise and worship, music, engaging sermons, identity strengthening, and adequate church facilities. In addition, it is also supported by the factor of pastoral leadership that can motivate the youth
