Abstract

This research explores a comparative analysis of tourism marketing strategies used by Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore to improve their competitiveness in the international tourism market. The research aims to identify the key elements of successful marketing strategies and explore how these approaches can inform the improvement of Indonesia's tourism sector. Using the qualitative comparative analysis (QCA) method, data was collected from literature reviews, government reports, and international tourism statistics. The findings show that Thailand excels with its “Thainess” concept that emphasizes niche markets such as ecotourism and health tourism. Malaysia shifted from mass marketing to an emotional and personalized approach under the “Malaysia Truly Asia” brand, while Singapore rejuvenated its appeal through innovative campaigns such as SingapoReimagine and Muslim-friendly initiatives. The study concludes that adapting to global trends, leveraging digital technology, and using integrated communications are essential in improving tourism competitiveness. Future research should focus on data-driven marketing strategies and their impact on sustainable tourism policies, so as to provide insights for Indonesia to develop competitive and sustainable tourism marketing strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the plantation, fisheries, and tourism sectors on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of the Bangka Belitung Province, with tin export acting as a moderating variable. The research utilizes semi-annual secondary data from 2017 to 2023. A quantitative approach is applied using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results indicate that the fisheries and tourism sectors have a positive and significant effect on GRDP, whereas the plantation sector does not show a statistically significant influence. Tin export as a moderating variable significantly strengthens the relationship between the fisheries and tourism sectors and GRDP, but weakens the link between the plantation sector and GRDP. These findings suggest that tin export may function both as a catalyst and a structural distortion to domestic sectors. Therefore, inclusive and cross-sectoral economic policies are necessary to ensure balanced and sustainable regional economic growth.

Abstract

Financial literacy skills are crucial for micro-entrepreneurs to sustainably manage and develop their businesses. Financial literacy encompasses the ability to manage income and expenses, record financial records, save, invest, and make sound financial decisions. Low levels of financial literacy and limited use of digital Payment systems are also still found among small business owners in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, including the songkok resam artisans in Sengir Village. This Community Service activity was conducted in Sengir Village, Payung District, South Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, from November to December 2025. The method used was a participatory approach that emphasized active community involvement in every stage of the activity. From the results and discussion, it can be concluded that increasing financial literacy and the implementation of QRIS-based Payment digitalization have had a positive impact on songkok resam artisans in Sengir Village. Indicators of success include increased knowledge of artisans regarding business financial management, the ability to perform simple record keeping, and the number of participants who successfully own and use QRIS in transactions.
