Abstract

Geothermal as an alternative energy source that is renewable and environmentally friendly has an important role in providing domestic energy needs. Exploration is one of the most important stages in the development of geothermal energy because it can minimize the risk at the stage of exploitation and development. Geophysical methods such as geomagnet and magnetotelluric are one of the methods used in exploration. Magnetic method can provide information on the description of rock demagnetization due to the presence of heat source. However, the magnetotelluric method will provide information about rock type resistance on geothermal fields. The existence of heat source using the geomagnetic method is represented by a low anomaly value as an indication of demagnetized rocks. The results of 3D inversion processing show a low value of type resistance in the area and form an updome. The correlation of the two results of processing the data can be seen in the southern part of the "X" geothermal field research area. Based on 3D Inversion modeling it can be seen the depth of the "X" Base of Conductor (BOC) geothermal system ranges from 1000 m to -800 m with resistivity ≤ 10 Ωm which is suspected as volcanic rocks. Geothermal reservoir is at a depth of 1000 m to -2000 m with a moderate resistivity of 40 - 60 Ωm which is suspected as an andesite volcanic rock, with temperature estimates ranging from 218o C to 255o C.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a learning media development product in the form of a Wimhurst machine teaching aid that can be used by teachers and students in the physics learning process. This media is expected to improve the knowledge and scientific thinking skills of grade 8 junior high school students in physics lessons on static electricity. This research was conducted in March-June 2014 at the Physics Department Laboratory, FMIPA-UNJ. The research carried out is research and development. This machine (the media) can show electric charge jumps directly from the friction between aluminum foil (sector) and brass as a rake. The results of the Wimhurst machine are learning media in the form of teaching aids that can help teachers in conveying material and can develop science process skills. The results of testing the Wimhurst machine teaching aids can attract students' interest in studying static electricity, so that students can easily understand the concept of static electricity.

Abstract

Abstract Background: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a significant public health issue in Indonesia, including Bandar Lampung City. Environmental factors, such as poorly managed landfills, are suspected to contribute to the increase in dengue cases by creating conditions supporting the breeding of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, particularly through stagnant water formed among unmanaged waste piles. The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between exposure to solid waste (household waste, non-hazardous industrial waste, and construction waste) around the Bakung landfill and the incidence of dengue fever in the surrounding community. Method: Cross-sectional design was conducted in February 2024 in 200 households within a 500-meter radius of the Bakung landfill, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through structured questionnaires, interviews, and environmental condition observations. Statistical analysis used chi-square tests and logistic regression to determine relationships and main risk factors. Result: research results show that there was a significant relationship between solid waste exposure and the incidence of dengue fever (p=0.019), with communities exposed to solid waste (household waste, non-hazardous industrial waste, and construction waste) having a 3 times greater risk of contracting dengue fever compared to those not exposed (OR=3.01; p=0.013). In addition, the habit of maintaining environmental cleanliness was also significantly associated with the incidence of dengue fever (p=0.027). The community with good cleanliness habits has a lower risk of contracting dengue fever (OR = 0.43; p = 0.029). Conclusion: This study emphasizes that poor waste management and low environmental hygiene increase DHF cases. Therefore, efforts to improve waste management in Bakung landfill, community education related to sanitation, and government intervention in disease vector control are needed to reduce the incidence of DHF in the area.

Abstract

Organizational changes in the healthcare sector, including digitalization and process simplification, have significantly transformed the work environment, particularly for administrative staff. This study aims to examine the effect of perceived organizational change (POC) on psychological stress among administrative employees in public hospitals in Bandar Lampung City. The study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design and involved 92 administrative employees. The POC instrument was developed based on the framework proposed by Rafferty and Griffin and demonstrated strong validity and reliability (Aiken’s V = 0.79–0.94; α = 0.934). Psychological stress was measured using the DASS-42 stress subscale (α = 0.872). Logistic regression analysis revealed that perceived organizational change significantly predicted psychological stress (p < 0.01), with the dimensions of impact of change and support for change emerging as strong predictors. These findings underscore that employees’ perceptions of clarity, support, and planning in organizational change processes play a critical role in determining their psychological well-being. The results have important implications for hospital management in ensuring that organizational change processes are implemented humanely and adaptively.
