Abstract

This research is aimed to obtain information about students' perceptions of politeness-based speaking skills teaching materials. The developed teaching materials were tried out in German Language Department, Pattimura University. The data was collected using a questionnaire technique to explore students' perspectives on teaching materials, while data analysis related to student perceptions was carried out using descriptive-analytic methods. The results showed that the theme chosen is a daily theme according to the daily communication needs of the beginner students, such as apologizing, asking, giving feedback or answering questions, giving suggestions, expressing opinions, etc. The teaching materials developed are also in accordance with the age level and students' language skills. Most of the students with language teaching materials that focus on (speaking skills) help them understand German language material easily. The form of training carried out by contrasting polite and unpolished utterances greatly helps students to distinguish appropriate speech according to politeness and will be able to use these speeches in daily communication. In addition, the teaching materials displayed are quite interesting because the form of practice used is quite good and interesting so that they can practice speaking and expressing opinions using polite language.

Abstract

New Paradigm Learning or Merdeka Curriculum is learning that is oriented towards strengthening competencies and developing characters in accordance with the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile. This service aims to facilitate teachers in West Seram Regency to change their way of thinking about education that develops in this society 5.0 era so that the learning process that is built is more innovative and creative and students experience a better transfer of knowledge. The target of the service was 45 teachers from elementary to high school / MA and was carried out at MA Gemba. The activity took place with an interactive lecture model. To measure the achievement of this service activity, information about the satisfaction of the participants following the activity was collected through a questionnaire that was filled out. The results of the questionnaire showed that more than 85% of the participants strongly agree with this activity so that it has an impact on the learning process activities that are more innovative. The hope of the service activity is to conduct workshops to implement all activities.

Abstract

Research on the Culture Responsive Teaching (CRT) learning approach aims to ensure that in the learning process the educators or teachers focus not only on improving students' learning achievements, but also on helping students accept and strengthen their cultural identity. This research is semi-qualitative research with the research subjects being students of the German Department with 20 respondents . In this research it is used Integration of CRT aspects in learning among others Content Integration, facilitating Knowledge construction, Prejudice Reduction, Social Justice and Academic Development. As instruments used were questionnaires and interviews. The research results show that students have a high tendency towards the facilitating Knowledge construction aspect with a score of 95%, followed by other aspects, namely Prejudice Reduction (94%), Academic Development (92), Content Integration (89), Social Justice (89). It means that cultural elements are very important in the learning process because they can help students understand reading texts well, because teachers can provide explanations using local culture. So it can be concluded that this CRT approach needs to be applied at various levels of education
