Abstract

The installation of public street lighting serves as a tool for road users when they are active at night and increases the safety and comfort of road users from crime or unwanted things and also complements the road that can be placed on the right / left or the middle of the road (median) as well. Planning for public street lighting on SungaiKapih road uses LED lights with a power of 60 watts with a protection index (IP) of 65 and has an efficacy of 5 lux which produces a light intensity of 605 Cd. The lamp poles used are galvanized iron poles, the type of lamp poles used is a single-arm octagonal lamp post with a height of 11 meters, installed on the right side of the road parallel to a distance of 40 meters as many as 35 poles. The source of electricity used in the planning of Jalan Sungai Kapih lighting is a source from PLN which is located around the location. The control system for planning the SungaiKapih road uses an automatic and manual system that is controlled by a photocell, contactor and selector switch. The purpose of installing this selector is so that the circuit can still be operated if the timer and photocell are damaged or not functioning and make it easier for related parties to carry out maintenance or repairs on street lights.

Abstract

This study discusses the Planning of Public Street Lighting Using a Solar Power Plant (PLTS) on Jalan Ir.H.Nusyirwan Ismail, M.Si in Samarinda District, Ulu Samarinda City. Jalan Nusyirwan Ismail has a road length of 5600 meters and a road width of 7 meters. Based on the road layout and calculations, the total number of poles used is 141 poles with a total of 282 light points used. In planning public street lights using solar power on the Nusyirwan Ismail street, the PJUTS used is the All In One PJUTS type, which has advantages in terms of economy, security, and better reliability than using conventional PJUTS.

Abstract

The total use of electrical energy in a building or structure, one of them is the use of an air conditioning (AC) system. There are still many uses of air conditioning (AC) systems based on halocarbon refrigerants (R-22) in a building or structure. Refrigerant 22 is a type of halocarbon refrigerant that is widely used in Split ACs. The author conducted research on an LG 2 PK AC by replacing the refrigerant which was still based on Refrigerant 22 with the hydrocarbon refrigerant Musicool 22, then the data results were analyzed to determine the performance of the AC. From the results of the refrigerant retrofitting carried out on March 1, 2022, it was 1,715 Watts. After replacing the refrigerant type from refrigerant 22 to Musicool 22 refrigerant, the electric current dropped to 1,305 Watts in April 2022, 1,352 Watts in May 2022 and 1,346 Watts in June. so that the electrical power efficiency was obtained by 369 Watts and the percentage of electrical power savings was 21.51% compared to March 2022. An alternative to replace halocarbon-based refrigerants in the Split air conditioning (AC) system is hydrocarbon refrigerants, this is a solution in terms of using more environmentally friendly refrigerants and a small global warming effect.

Abstract

Rele diferensial adalah sebuah alat proteksi yang bekerja berdasarkan hukum Kirchoff arus. Hal ini dilakukan dengan cara membandingkan jumlah vektor arus yang masuk dan keluar dari rele. Jika jumlah antara vektor-vektor arus tersebut tidak sama dengan nol, maka rele akan bekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang purwarupa proteksi kelistrikan menggunakan rele diferensial arus dengan metode arus bias yang berbasis mikrokontroler Arduino Uno. Rele ini dirancang untuk bekerja pada sistem satu fase. Nilai arus yang terdeteksi oleh sensor PZEM-004T diproses oleh mikrokontroler Arduino Uno untuk menentukan apakah terjadi gangguan atau masih dalam keadaan normal. Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan bahwa Arduino Uno akan mengontrol kerja rele. Karakteristik tripping ANSI 87T digunakan sebagai acuan dalam kerja rele ini, dengan slope yang mengacu pada SIPROTEC 7UT6. Slope ini diatur guna mengantisipasi tripping pada diferensial arus yang masih dapat dimaklumi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah rele dapat memutuskan saluran rangkaian, bila arus diferensial dan arus restrain yang terdeteksi oleh Arduino Uno diluar dari persentase slope yang telah diatur. Selain itu, terdapat perbedaan waktu kerja rele yang didapatkan dari simulasi software ETAP dengan waktu kerja rele sebesar 19%.
