This research departs from the phenomenon of media in constructing reality. The reality displayed by the media is judged as the real truth by the audience, but the reality that is displayed by the media is not a single truth. As the reality of the 18th JFC controversy in 2019 becomes an interesting topic to discuss with Halliday discourse analysis model. Thus, the purpose of this study is to describe the online media discourse about the JFC problems in Jember district. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the mass media participate in the discourse of Muslim communication battles against reality through the construction of news in the mass media, especially online media; 2) The mass media, both electronic media and online media, talk about Cinta Laura Kiehl as one of the ambassadors whose appearance does not deserve to be displayed in the JFC event in media construction; and 3) the online media Bangsaonline.com and Potretjember.com talk about Cinta Laura Kiehl as an ambassador for the JFC event, which can damage the image of Jember as a city of students. The occurrence of hijrah at the time of Prophet Muhammad is an event that cannot be forgotten in the hearts and hearts of all Muslims. Because this incident has a very high value in the history of the Islamic world. There are also many things that can be used as lessons. This study examines oral interpretation in the media on Instagram with a study on Ustadz Teuku Hanan Attaki (UHA). The main research question is how is UHA's verbal explanation of the word youth hijrah in the Qur'an and also what is the significance of UHA's oral interpretation of the word shift of youth hijrah in the Qur'an on Instagram. This approach uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of this study show that UHA in the interpretation of hijrah is to interpret QS. al-Muzzammil (74):10. In some commentaries, in general hijrah means an order to leave something because of displeasure, the command in this verse is accompanied by the sentence hijran jamilan, which means "in a good way" forbidden to work that is lawful, such as avoiding usury. In addition, UHA's oral interpretation of hijrah has a significance that is not in the written interpretation. It means that the oral interpretation of UHA' Hijrah is more acceptable to the audience because the interpretation is clearer at the moment.

Since Jember was designated as an afdeling in 1883, it has resulted in a wave of multi-ethnic migration. Each ethnic or ethnic group is the Madurese and the Javanese are the majority ethnic group. They develop their own culture so that there is cultural acculturation called Pendalungan. Until now, they live side by side on the basis of their respective cultural differences, especially in the fields of art and language. Therefore, in writing this article aims to analyze cultural acculturation between Javanese and Madurese ethnic. This uniqueness is the main attraction of this new culture to be studied. Javanese culture and Madurese culture which merge into one and form a new culture give color to cultural diversity in Indonesia, and can only be found in Jember Regency. The method used is descriptive qualitative by utilizing relevant written sources. Based on the analysis, information was obtained that actually the Pendalungan culture still does not exist in Jember. Because by definition and cultural values, Pendalungan culture has not yet been formed. Because basically culture is created because of habits that are carried out successively and in the end it is used as an identity for a culture.

Kemiskinan merupakan hal negatif dari segala perspektif pandang kehidupan sosial masyarakat. Agama mengajarkan bahwa kemiskinan itu sangat dekat dengan kekufuran. Sementara dalam kehidupan sosial masyarakat, kemiskinan itu sangat dekat dengan kebodohan dan ketidak patuhan dalam segala hal. Kemiskinan dapat dilihat sebagai sebuah fenomena sosial yang kompleks, sebagai akibat dari ketidakmampuan diri maupun kelompok masyarakat tertentu untuk memperjuangkan kepentingan- kepentingan di tengah-tengah komunitas sosialnya. Adapun rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pola komunikasi Dinas Sosial dalam pembinaan pengemis di Kabupaten Jember?. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan pola komunikasi Dinas Sosial dalam pembinaan pengemis di Kabupaten Jember. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui observasi secara langsung, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dan data dianalisis secara kualitatif yang terdiri dari tiga alur kegiatan yang terjadi secara bersamaan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi, serta keabsahan data dengan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan pola komunikasi Dinas Sosial dalam Pembinaan Pengemis di Kabupaten Jember ialah efektif. Karena dalam proses pembinaan, Dinas Sosial yang dibantu oleh lembaga lain memberikan materi dan praktek yang praktis. Pemberian materi kepada pengemis, ditujukan agar pengemis menjadi orang yang mandiri secara ekonomi. Dan dibuktikan dengan setelah pengemis membuka usaha sendiri, pengemis juga bisa mengelolah modal yang diberikan oleh Dinas Sosial. Serta banyaknya jumlah pengemis yang telah membina tetap menjalankan usaha .yang diberikan oleh Dinas Sosial dan tidak melakukan kembali pekerjaan sebagai pengemis. The power and ability of film has become an audio-visual communication medium that reaches many social segments and is enjoyed by people of all ages and social backgrounds. It is from this basis that convinces experts that films have the potential to influence their audiences. There are various themes in a film's content, two of which are about race and religion. Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerika, for example. After this film aired, there were pros and cons to the message in the film. Because Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerika places more emphasis on contemporary Islamic issues that are currently in the world's spotlight, including Islamophobia. The film Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerika shows Islamophobia, which is a form of ignorance of Western society towards Islam. This film shows the treatment of American society that demeans Islam such as religious intolerance, suspicion and hatred towards Muslims and anti-pluralism attitudes towards other teachings. This research is about how the reception analysis in the film Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerika is based on the Indonesian Christian Youth Movement and the Catholic Youth Movement. The purpose of this study is to describe the reception of the Indonesian Christian Youth Movement and the Catholic Youth Generation to the film Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerika. By using a descriptive qualitative approach, the researcher chose to conduct research in Jember Regency. The result, from the non-Muslim youth studied, namely the Indonesian Christian Youth Movement Youth and the Catholic Youth Movement, and both had the same results. Where both are in the dominant hegemonic or receive messages in the film Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerika.

This research discusses the role of generation Z in implementing the values of religious moderation in the digital space. The researcher intends to show a social picture of some information related to the behavior of generation Z in the digital space, especially in social media in implementing the values of religious moderation. Generation Z in Indonesia as the largest social media user in fact does not implement the values of religious moderation in their attitude and behavior on social media. This research is a descriptive qualitative research and uses the Library study research method. The results of the author's research explain the phenomenon that shows the low implementation of religious moderation values by generation Z on social media as evidenced by hoaxes, hate speech, and discrimination that are still carried out by Indonesian society. The values of religious moderation as the basis of people's lives should be practiced as guidelines in behaving and behaving in everyday life, including in social media. One of them is by practicing religious life by taking the middle way or how to avoid extreme actions or fanaticism. want division. The role of generation Z in supporting religious moderation is needed, among others, as social control in social media, being moderate or not too fanatical, being a good believer, spreading the importance of religious moderation and inviting in kindness.

The communication process cannot be separated from human life. Communication has a specific purpose. According to Berelson and Steiner, communication is a quality process. What is conveyed in the communication process can be informational messages, ideas, emotions, and so on. Meanwhile, what is conveyed by signs, signs can be images, words, numbers, and so on. One of the complex media in information symbols is film. The aim of this research is to find out, explain and analyze Javanese culture in the film Hati Suhita by Khilma Anis using the semiotic approach of John Fiske and Thomas Wiyasa Bratawijaya. This is a type of qualitative descriptive research which is analyzed using John Fiske's semiotic analysis and using the characteristics of Thomas Wiyasa Bratawijaya's Javanese culture to find a picture of Javanese culture in the film Hati Suhita. As a result, Javanese culture is defined as a culture that believes in God, respects each other, cares for each other, teaches us to be careful in speaking, advise, consider when making decisions and forgive each other. The television code that is often found and produces a picture of Javanese culture is the level of reality. Where at this level it helps researchers to see how the appearance, costumes, dialogue and behavior are presented in the film. When pointing the camera and lighting it is directed and visible clearly.

This research addresses the issue of human resource development at Pondok Pesantren Darul Hikmah, Narathiwat, Thailand, focusing on enhancing students' social and leadership skills through group communication. The aim of this research is to develop students' social skills, leadership, and critical thinking, while creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. The implementation method used Asset-Based Community Development which conclude inculturate, discovery, dream, design, define, and destiny. The results of the empowerment show that students became more active in discussions, improved their critical thinking skills, and developed leadership abilities. Additionally, group communication successfully created a more harmonious learning environment and strengthened solidarity among students. Therefore, this approach has proven to be effective in improving education quality and character development in the pesantren.

The 18th JFC (Jember Fashion Carnaval) in 2019 chose Cinta Laura Kiehl as its grand ambassador. The event, which is held in every year never escapes from the media spotlight. One of them happened in 2019. this event made by Dynand Fariz which is caused controversy among public and the mass media. This event invited polemics to the response of MUI Jember,the management of Muhammadiyah Jember, and the chief of FPI East Java since the clothes that is worn by cinta laura. this phenomenon, such as in media Bangsaonline.com and Potrerjember.com which are East Java media and online media that contain the most news about the 18th JFC controversy in 2019. In this study, researchers used William A. Gamson's framing analysis method and Andre Modiglani, which emphasized to the symbolic form through figurative and rhetoric which indirectly directs the news which forms an image from certain aspects in the public. In addition, it also contains of the views of religious leaders in Jember. The result was that Bangsaonline.com andotretjember.com looked shy when it reportes the controversy news. However, in the packaging of the news, words, terms, phrases, sentences, facts, paragraphs, and images used by online media tend to highlight images that indulge in genitals and violate religious values.

The ideas that replace the concepts of the contemporary era are known as postmodernism. This research provides a theoretical analysis of postmodern ideas, which are the basis for the emergence of contemporary artistic ideas and are reinforced by the increasing tendency of young Indonesian artists to combine contemporary aesthetic styles with the visual power of traditional culture. As a result, the works created are global in nature but retain their traditional values. The "Algorith" logo in Jember Fashion Carnaval (JFC) 2024 has a postmodern context. This research aims to analyze the "Algorithm" logo in postmodern culture. This research is also expected to provide benefits to provide information about postmodern aesthetic values and meanings contained in the logo. The theories used are postmodern theory and postmodern aesthetics. This research uses literature study method from various books, and writings of thinkers. The result of this research is how the application of the "Algorithm" logo on Jember Fashion Carnaval 2024 in a postmodern context. Postmodern itself can be seen through aesthetic values that have idioms contained in the logo. The strongest postmodern aesthetic idiom related to the above case is pastiche. In addition, there are denotation and connotation meanings in the "Algorithm" logo in Jember Fashion Carnaval 2024. With the final conclusion that the term postmodern aesthetic pastiche can be used to describe the application of postmodern culture. The term "pastiche" combines traditional and contemporary styles. The theme logo for Jember Fashion Carnaval 2024 will be drawn using a logogram perspective with a historical algorithm. In which there is a wayang devile. These two typefaces are used to give a simple or contemporary impression. Modern culture is represented by the colors used in the theme logo that depict "aesthetic partners", allowing creativity to compete internationally in the aesthetic space of the contemporary art world.
