Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic has an impact on family planning (KB) programs. The policy issued by the government is to suppress the transmission of this virus by providing online family planning services. Apart from that, PUS (Couples of Childbearing Age) is recommended to delay pregnancy. However, if this policy is not followed with appropriate use of contraceptives and there is a decline in family planning participation, there will be a surge in population. Therefore, nurses as educators have a responsibility to provide education so that the level of knowledge about family planning increases. This community service aims to increase the knowledge of Women of Childbearing Age (WUS) regarding family planning and the appropriate use of contraceptives during the Covid 19 pandemic. The method used is to provide intervention in the form of health education about family planning via a zoom meeting link with power point media to 40 WUS. person. To determine differences in knowledge levels, a pretest and posttest were carried out using a questionnaire. The community service results show that the average score before the KB health program is 58 (poor) and the average score after the health education program is 88 (good). The use of contraceptives before health care was carried out, namely 17 people (44%) did not use contraceptives. The majority of WUS who use contraception use hormonal contraception, namely 8 people (35%) out of 23 WUS. Health education during community service activities during the Covid 19 pandemic was able to increase WUS' knowledge about family planning, but WUS were not able to decide on the appropriate use of contraception because they had to discuss it with their husband/partner.

Abstract

Cervical cancer is a disorder that often occurs in women. This disease is dangerous because it can affect the cells in the cervix if not treated immediately. Currently, cervical cancer ranks second among cancers that attack women in the world. According to WHO, 490,000 women in the world every year are diagnosed with cervical cancer and 80% are in developing countries, including Indonesia. In Indonesia, it is estimated that every day 40-45 new cases appear, 20-25 people die, meaning that every 1 hour it is estimated that 1 woman dies due to cervical cancer. This means that Indonesia will lose 600-750 women who are still productive every month. Health promotion and early detection are priorities to prevent and treat disease. The aim of the activity is to prevent cervical cancer through increasing WUS knowledge regarding the Acetic Acid Visual Inspection Test using counseling methods as well as pre-tests before and post-tests after counseling. This can be done to prevent the increase in cervical cancer, namely by providing increased knowledge to women of childbearing age through education about VIA tests. The results show that counseling is significant in increasing WUS' knowledge about the IVA test.

Abstract

The number of women of childbearing age in Indonesia is the largest number of WUS in Southeast Asia. However, Indonesia is the largest user of contraception. The Covid-19 outbreak also affects the use of contraception. This outbreak was declared a global health emergency, requiring restrictions on physical and social activities and contacts, up to large-scale quarantine. This causes major changes in the social structure, which usually changes activities outside the home to activities at home. Apart from that, the pandemic has also increased sexual contact, thereby allowing an increase in the number of pregnancies. So it is necessary to strengthen knowledge on the use of contraception. The aim of this activity is to assist PUS in choosing the type of contraception during the Covid-19 pandemic in maintaining reproductive health using counseling methods on contraceptive selection. This community service activity has been successfully implemented. WUS in the Maccini Health Center area of Makassar City have also received information about contraception, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Judging from the EFA response, this activity was welcomed and considered to have provided positive benefits during the pandemic.

Abstract

Accidents and emergency conditions can occur anywhere, at any time and attack anyone, including at school. Mistakes or delays in initial treatment can result in a further worsening of the victim's condition which can result in disability or other complications, so it is necessary to pay attention to management and management functions, namely aspects of implementation/movement or action as an effort to optimize and foster UKS. However, the problem is that the knowledge of teachers and school principals is still lacking, there is a lack of funds, and the infrastructure is inadequate for implementing UKS. The aim of this activity is to increase the knowledge of UKS officers and make them truly ready to handle emergency conditions in the school environment and its surroundings. In implementing the provision of UKS services at Bawakaraeng High School, UKS collaborates with teachers. With implementation methods, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. The results of this activity show that the service activity process went smoothly and there was an increase in knowledge with a pre-test score in the good knowledge category, namely 10 people (33.33%) and less than 20 people (66.67%), then the post test results with good knowledge, namely 28 people (93.33%) and less than 2 people (6.67%)

Abstract

Breast cancer is the first cancer in Indonesia and is one of the first contributors to death caused by cancer. Breast cancer reached 68,858 cases out of a total of 396,914 new cases in Indonesia. Unfortunately, around 70% of cases are detected too late and are at an advanced stage. The impact for Indonesia is of course not only an economic double burden but also the level of public health. Therefore, there is a need for pro-active efforts by academics to help reduce breast cancer cases. One way is through health promotion by educating people about the dangers of breast cancer. Group counseling method. Counseling participants with a population of 35 people. The media used were power points and leaflets, which lasted approximately 50 minutes. The results of community service show that after education, 77.5% of people can answer questions about breast cancer well. And there is enthusiasm in asking questions in detail. Counseling participants can understand and increase their insight into the dangers of breast cancer. Counseling can be done at a later time.
