Abstract

The population of the city of Surabaya currently reaches approximately three million people, which makes the density level increase from year to year. The need for residential housing is the main factor in reducing open land in the city of Surabaya. Most of the land that becomes residential or housing is managed by housing developers (developers) who continue to clear land for the development process to cater to urbanites. Urban farming activities can increase residents' enthusiasm for farming in urban environments and for food needs, in this case the cultivation of horticultural crops. The problem that the residents want to solve is cultivating grapes, so media will also be created in the form of facilities and infrastructure so that grape cultivation can grow and develop well until it produces fruit in good condition. The implementation method used is the verticulture method. In this method, activity stages are carried out starting from preparation, socialization, training, mentoring and evaluation. So that the results of cultivating grapes can be sold by residents as additional cash for the RT. Apart from that, residents can also use it themselves for consumption together. The main point of the activity is that residents can learn how to plant from seeding to fertilization of grapes, considering the nature of grapes which grow by vines. Abstrak Penduduk kota Surabaya saat ini mencapai kurang lebih tiga juta jiwa yang membuat tingkat kepadatan dari tahun ke tahun semakin meningkat. Kebutuhan akan hunian tempat tinggal menjadi faktor utama berkurangnya lahan terbuka di kota Surabaya. Sebagian besar lahan yang menjadi pemukiman ataupun perumahan dikelola oleh pengembang perumahan (developer) yang terus melakukan pembukaan lahan untuk proses pembangunan guna memenuhi para kaum urban. Kegiatan urban farming dapat meningkatkan semangat warga dalam hal bercocok tanam di lingkungan perkotaan dan akan kebutuhan pangan dalam hal ini adalah budidaya tanaman hortikultura. Masalah yang ingin diselesaikan bersama warga yakni melakukan budidaya tanaman anggur, maka akan dibuatkan juga media berupa sarana dan prasarana agar tanaman budidaya anggur ini dapat tumbuh dan berkembang dengan baik hingga menghasilkan buah dengan kondisi yang baik pula. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan yakni metode vertikultur. Pada metode ini dilaksanakan tahap kegiatan mulai dari persiapan, sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Sehingga dari hasil budidaya tanaman anggur tersebut dapat dijual oleh warga sebagai tambahan uang kas bagi RT. Selain itu juga dapat dimanfaatkan sendiri oleh warga untuk dikonsumsi bersama. Pokok utama kegiatan yaitu warga dapat belajar cara menanam sejak mulai dari pembibitan hingga pembuahan dari tanaman anggur, mengingat sifat tanaman anggur yang tumbuh secara merambat.

Abstract

A stadium typically consists of one or more large-scale building masses designed to accommodate significant numbers of visitors such as spectators, administrators, and athletes. With a large number of visitors, it needs careful planning of land use due to the extensive area required for stadium construction. Efficient movement within the building is essential, particularly in guiding visitors between spaces. The design for the Surabaya softball stadium spans four floors and occupies a substantial land area. However, a key challenge lies in addressing visitor confusion, especially among spectators, regarding access to different spaces. To mitigate this, effective identification systems, such as signage, are crucial for facilitating navigation within the stadium. The implementation of wayfinding signage serves as a solution to direct users to their desired locations, ensuring smooth movement throughout the facility. Additionally, the organization of space and zoning by function, supported by clear markers, helps prevent cross circulation. Unregulated circulation may lead to congestion at specific points if adequate signage and space designation are lacking. Therefore, providing clear names and directional instructions through wayfinding signs is vital to enhance spatial accessibility and streamline visitor movement within the stadium.

Abstract

Traditional houses are an important cultural asset in society. The Taneyan Lanjhang traditional house, a traditional house located in a certain area, has been the object of research in this study. This research aims to examine the tectonic and structural aspects of the Taneyan Lanjhang traditional house, including the geological characteristics that influenced its construction. The research method used in this study involves field surveys, primary and secondary data collection, as well as 3D rendering and qualitative descriptive explanations. Primary data was obtained through direct observation of the Taneyan Lanjhang traditional house, while secondary data was obtained through a study of related literature. Research shows that the Taneyan Lanjhang traditional house is supported by tectonic structures typical of the area. This structure plays an important role in the strength and stability of the traditional house. Some of the structural elements found include wooden columns, types of connections, and roof shapes.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 hingga saat ini masih menjadi musibah bagi seluruh umat manusia di seluruh dunia tak terkecuali di Indonesia. Peningkatan jumlah kasus positif dan meninggal dunia terus mengalami peningkatan. Kasus Covid-19 terbanyak terjadi di Pulau Jawa. Virus ini terus melakukan mutasi genetik menjadi virus yang mematikan. Mutasi virus berasal dari beberapa negara salah satunya dari India yang masuk ke Indonesia. Delta varian merupakan nama atau jenis virus Covid-19 tersebut. Kota Surabaya menjadi episentrum di provinsi Jawa Timur yang jumlah kasus positif dan meninggal dunianya cukup banyak. Setiap wilayah di Surabaya diwajibkan menerapkan protokol kesehatan yang sangat ketat dan dengan dikuatkan adanya waktu PPKM (Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat) darurat. Tujuan dari terlaksananya kegiatan KKN yang dilakukan oleh beberapa mahasiswa UKDC di lingkungannya masing-masing yakni memberikan penyuluhan kepada warga setempat terkait penanganan pandemi Covid-19. Warga sekitar berharap agar virus Covid-19 ini dapat terhenti dengan segera dan tidak meluas secara berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan KKN ini yaitu analisa sosial. Pengamatan situasi menjadi poin utama dalam menentukan jenis kegiatan yang didasarkan dari kebutuhan warga setempat dalam penanganan pencegahan penyakit Covid-19. Hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan penyuluhan KKN ini, masyarakat mendapatkan edukasi akan pentingnya menjaga kebersihan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Edukasi ini berupa pemaparan oleh tim KKN ke seluruh warga yang tinggal di lingkungan Villa Kalijudan Indah. Selain itu tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat memberikan alat protokol kesehatan seperti masker dan handsanitizer serta poster dan stiker tanda bahwa anggota keluarga tersebut telah divaksin.

Abstract

Stadium spatial planning should always include circulation access for all users. Circulation routes must be clearly differentiated for spectators, players, and stadium management. This separation of access is intended to prevent conflicts between different spatial functions. The circulation in question refers to entry and exit access within the softball stadium building. With the numerous access points and rooms in the facility, clear identification signs (signage) are essential to help users quickly understand their surroundings and navigate to their destinations. In terms of layout, the softball stadium includes several spaces and rooms designed to support all visitor activities. Generally, a good building must have better spatial pattern arrangement, this can be assessed by measuring the sight distance that affects the achievement of space for movement. As a primary requirement for a stadium where human movement in the building must be fast in circulation, access in and out is a crucial part. The method used to answer this problem uses isovist polygons, where the results of data analysis from previous studies are incorporated to determine sight distance through the point of achieving spatial syntax. If previous research produces connectivity, integrity, and clarity quantitatively through the study of space syntax in the softball stadium building. As a result, a computerized display pattern will be obtained for several sides of the softball stadium layout. Visibility, using recognition measurements using isovist polygons, measures the user reach within the softball stadium based on key points of user circulation.
