Abstract

Introduction: In the globalized world, it is important to be used triage system in emergency department so that you can classify the patient with triage categories according to the value of trauma or illness to start service quickly. Objective: This research was carried out to identify the level of knowledge of nursing about triage, the application of triage also to know the relationship between the level of knowledge of nurse about triage and application of triage in the emergency department of Hospital Nacional Guido Valadares Dili Timor-Leste. Method: the research of methodology the researcher uses the quantitative type with a cross sectional approach and a correlational study. Result and Discussion: through the research to identify 40 nurses in emergency department of Hospital Nacional Guido Valadares Dili Timor-Leste. The research identifies that the existing sample of 40 for variable level of knowledge, show that many had good knowledge with respondent 30 (75.0%) and respondent 2 (5.0%) with low knowledge and about the variable of triage implementation showed that many nurses agreed with the application of triage with 27 respondents (67.5%) and not in agreement with the application of triage with 3 respondents (7.5%). Based on the results of the study, it shows that there is a positive relationship between the level of knowledge and the application of triage with a value of r = 0.463 and a p value of 0.003 which is higher than the alpha value (0,05) meaning that Ho rejects Ha accept. Conclusion: This study shows that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge of nurses about triage and the application of triage at emergency department of Hospital Nacional Guido Valadares Dili Timor-Leste with a significant value of 0,003 < a = 0,05

Abstract

According to research findings Maria Kontesa (2014), conducting a survey on Leadership style and Nursing Work Motivation in the Treatment Room of the General Hospital Dr. Rasiding Padang. As a result, the head of nursing used a democratic leadership style with a percentage (44.7%), otocratic with a percentage (34.2%), participatory with a percentage (18.4%), local government with a percentage (2.6%). And the motivation of nursing services was sufficient (44.1%), the motivation was high (38.4%), the motivation was low (17.6%). According to the source of human resources statistics, HNGV, 2022. The data on the assessment of leadership services and the motivation of nursing services at the Guido Valadares National Hospital, (2020-2021) shows that very good 576, good 70%, sufficient 15% and insufficient 0%. Based on the results of the survey on the distribution of respondents based on leadership style in the Department of Internal Elektiva and Emergency HNGV, the majority of respondents were 14 with (35%), and the majority were 26 with (65%). The results of the analysis of the statistical correlation test of the spearman. The significant value P value =.01 is lower than the value of 0,5 means that there is a significant relationship between the leadership style and the work motivation of the nursing staff and the results of the correlation value r = 0,554b which is located between 0,0,0-0,599 categories of strong correlation enough with the positive relationship (+).

Abstract

In the world of globalization Triage is very important for use in the hospital, mainly in the emergency room, so that patients can be classified according to the triage category based on the degree of trauma or pain, in order to facilitate quick care. The research result for the researcher Kharina et all., (2020) nurses' knowledge about triage the category that is still not optimal. That this through the research result approximates 88.89% knowledge nurses less, 11.11% knowledge nurses good and 5.56% knowledge nurses moderate. According to the researcher Simões F. Laura (2022) nurses who apply triage with 67.5%, sometimes 25.0% and do not apply it to triage 7.5%. The objective of the research refers to knowing the factors that influence nurses who implement triage in the emergency department of Hospital National Guido Valadares This researcher uses quantitative method that works in emergency Unit, with a total sample of 56 people technic Sampling NonProbability Sampling is a total sampling. Data correlation techniques using the questionnaire, data analysis and using formula Spearman Rank. Of the 56 samples that have been research, knowledge is known in good category with 69.6%, the category was enough 26.8% and the category was less than 3.6%. knowledge was well understood by 60.7%, the category was enough for 23.2% and les than 2.6%. the value for the Spearman Rank test obtained p= 0.000 with a value of r= 0.509 means in relation. In the research the majority of the triage was 69.6% and the majority of the triage training was 54%. The relationship between the implementation fo the triage and the training of nurses with a significant value p= 0.000 with a value r= 0.509 means in relation.
