Abstract

The rapid growth of the global Islamic economy, with Sharia financial assets projected to reach USD 9.75 trillion by 2029, demands the transformation of Sharia accounting systems through artificial intelligence (AI) implementation. This study analyzes the impact of AI on the transformation of Sharia accounting systems from a global perspective using qualitative methods through library research examining recent academic sources. The results reveal that AI enhances Sharia compliance monitoring accuracy by up to 92% through natural language processing (NLP), but faces complex challenges including regulatory disparities, algorithmic biases, and technological infrastructure gaps between GCC, Southeast Asia, and Africa regions. Key findings emphasize the need for an ethical framework based on maqasid al-shariah and localized AI adoption strategies. The research contributes to the development of a hybrid intelligence model integrating AI with human expertise and an ethical AI certification framework for Sharia accounting. This study recommends multisectoral collaboration to ensure digital transformation aligned with Islamic values.

Abstract

There are various zakat-based economic empowerment models managed by amil zakat institutions in Indonesia, one of which is the Dompet Dhuafa Farm program. It uses a quantitative method, with data collection techniques such as interviews and documentation. The data obtained was analysed using the Wilcoxon t-test. The findings of this study are that the DD Farm program's mustahik economic empowerment model creates a livestock business by appointing mustahik as stable employees who manage on-farm and of farm processes so that they get a steady income. The results of the Wilcoxon t-test show that Mustahik's income was different before and after working in the DD Farm program. The DD Farm empowerment model has a positive impact on increasing mustahik income but is not yet perfectly adequate because some mustahiks still have incomes below the regional minimum wage.

Abstract

Abstract This study explores the human resource (HR) selection process within the framework of Sharia management by highlighting the Islamic perspective on employee recruitment and talent acquisition. From an Islamic viewpoint, HR selection extends beyond technical skills and academic qualifications to include ethical and spiritual dimensions. This research aims to examine the concept of HR selection in Islam, identify Sharia-based values that underpin recruitment and selection practices, and assess their relevance in contemporary organizational settings. A qualitative approach is employed using a literature review method, drawing upon classical and modern sources related to Islamic human resource management. The findings reveal that HR selection in Sharia management emphasizes a balanced integration of professional capability and moral integrity, as reflected in the principles of al-quwwah and al-amānah. The application of these principles contributes to the formation of human resources who are competent, ethical, and aligned with Islamic values, thereby supporting sustainable organizational performance. Abstract

Female-headed households often face heightened economic vulnerability due to their dual role as primary income earners and family caregivers. This double burden can limit economic opportunities and weaken family economic resilience, making targeted empowerment interventions such as productive zakat particularly important. This study aims to analyze the effect of productive zakat on the post-crisis economic resilience of female-headed households and its role in strengthening the family economy. This study employed an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design. Quantitative data were collected from 100 female-headed household beneficiaries (mustahiq) of BAZNAS productive zakat programs and analyzed using SEM-PLS. Qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with 10 participants and analyzed thematically to enrich the quantitative findings. The results indicate that productive zakat has a positive and significant relationship on economic resilience, encompassing variables such as Socioeconomic Status, economic self-reliance, economic empowerment, and family welfare. Furthermore, productive zakat was found to enhance resilience capacity by strengthening business adaptability, ensuring income sustainability, and fostering the creation of economic reserves. The implications of this research underscore the need to strengthen program design by scaling up interventions, providing ongoing support, and integrating market access to maximize the impact on post-crisis economic recovery.
