Abstract

Budidaya jagung manis di tanah podsolik merah kuning mengalami kendala yaitu rendahnya unsur hara di dalam tanah. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kandungan unsur hara di tanah podsolik merah kuning dengan menambahkan pupuk organik dan anorganik, antara lain melalui penggunaan pupuk organik cair limbah ampas tebu dan pupuk NPK. Konsentrasi pupuk organik cair limbah ampas tebu dan dosis pupuk NPK yang optimum akan memberikan dampak efektif pada pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan dosis kombinasi yang terbaik dari POC limbah ampas tebu dan pupuk NPK terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis pada tanah podsolik merah kuning. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan pertanian Kabupaten Sintang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen lapangan dengan pola Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), terdiri dari 5 perlakuan berupa POC limbah ampas tebu dengan NPK dan diulang sebanyak 5 kali. Setiap ulangan terdiri dari 5 tanaman sampel. Sehingga jumlah tanaman 125. Perlakuannya sebagai berikut: t1= konsentrasi POC 0 % + 100% NPK setara dengan 300 kg/ha, t2 = konsentrasi POC 25% + 75% NPK setara dengan 225 kg/ha, t3 = konsentrasi POC 50% + 50% NPK setara dengan 150 kg/ha, t4 = konsentrasi POC 75% + 25% NPK setara dengan 75 kg/ha, t5 = konsentrasi POC 100% + 0% NPK setara dengan 0 kg/ha. Variabel pengamatan meliputi tinggi tanaman, volume akar, berat kering tanaman, panjang tongkol, diameter tongkol, berat tongkol berkelobot, berat tongkol tanpa kelobot dan hasil perpetak. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dosis kombinasi POC limbah ampas tebu dan pupuk NPK yang diujikan pada penelitian ini berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap semua variabel pengamatan pada tanaman jagung manis di tanah podsolik merah kuning.

Abstract

This study evaluates the performance of an ammonia refrigeration system used as a cooling medium in a texturizing plant. The analysis was conducted over a 10-day period, focusing on key performance indicators such as compressor work, condenser exhaust heat, refrigeration effect, mass flow rate, Coefficient of Performance (COP), and overall system efficiency. The data revealed that the system performed optimally on Day 5, achieving a peak efficiency of 91%, with compressor work at 304.1 kJ/kg and condenser exhaust heat at 1414.6 kJ/kg. In contrast, the lowest efficiency was recorded on Day 3, at 77%. The refrigeration effect reached its highest value of 491.3 kJ/kg on Day 3, highlighting efficient heat absorption despite lower overall system efficiency. On Day 4, the mass flow rate was 0.001049929 kg/s, with an actual COP of 1.39, while the ideal COP peaked on Day 10 at 1.69, reflecting the system’s theoretical maximum efficiency under optimal conditions. The study emphasizes the critical role of the condenser in the system’s performance. Optimizing the condenser’s operation by controlling temperature, pressure, and flow rates, alongside regular maintenance, significantly impacts system efficiency. The findings suggest that careful monitoring of operational parameters, including compressor work and refrigerant flow, can enhance the overall efficiency and reliability of ammonia refrigeration systems in industrial settings. This research provides practical insights into improving the cooling performance, reducing energy consumption, and ensuring consistent production quality in texturizing plants.

Abstract

The Seuseupan Dam is one of the most important water buildings in the Cirebon Regency. The purpose of this study is to analyze the need for irrigation water to obtain predictions of the maximum and minimum values of water needs, so that the availability of water can be used efficiently and effectively to increase agricultural productivity. The research contributes to understanding the effective utilization of water resources from the dam for irrigation purposes. The study provides valuable insights into water management practices, potential improvements in irrigation efficiency, and the overall impact on local agricultural productivity, as well as the financial implications of water management decisions for farmers and local economies. The findings may inform policymakers and stakeholders about the sustainability of water usage in the region, helping to optimize resource allocation and enhance food security.
